What a game changer.
These headphones have been so helpful whenever my hard-of-hearing sister comes to visit. When she’s at her own home her hearing aids work with her tv. I needed a way for her to hear MY tv. These headphones are wonderful, allowing us to enjoy tv together. While the headphones are great, the customer service at Avantree is superb. I was having difficulty figuring out how to hook everything up since I have a soundbar. Jeany in customer support patiently walked me through it and got me up and running in no time. Great company!

Good clear sound at a reasonable price.
The Avantree 5009 plus was much easier and faster to setup and connect than expected. I did add 2 USB power wall adapters instead of tv power outlet. As I have considerable hearing loss, the wireless headphones deliver a clear, solid sound with plenty of volume adjustment. A very good buy for the price.

Long battery life, comfortable to wear
Reasonable quality sound with a really long battery life (haven't charged them yet). The headphones are comfortable for long periods, even when lying down. I found the volme up, down and mute buttons easy to use while wearing the headphones. I also like that they double as a Bluetooth option for my smartphone. The only drawback which cost them a ⭐ in my review is the voice saying"mute on", "mute off", "connected", etc. which is by far more annoying than helpful. There needs to be way to turn it off!

Great product!!
Bought this for my mother who has hearing aides and couldn’t hear the television very well. This is a game changer for her! We couldn’t be more pleased. Installation was easier than we expected.

Good price/delivery.
Instructions could be improved. Proper sound settings are required by not mentioned for my Samsung. The QR code in the instructions took me to a site without proper answers.

The Best for TV
I'm now on my second Avantree product for TV watching/listening. I've used their Audition Pro for many (many!) years and it has served me exceptionally well. But, since the headband is completely worn out and I've gone through a few sets of ear pads, I decided it was time for a replacement. Rather than try for another Audition Pro (I don't think they even still make it) I opted for the HT5009 headset/transmitter package. Very easy to set up the transmitter (I'm using the optical connection with pass through to my sound bar), and the headphones pair quickly and reliably. The headset fits my head and ears as well as the old Audition Pro - very light and comfortable. Sound quality is excellent and I can set the equalization for voice or music listening with a toggle on the headset. The transmitter will support two headphones and will even pair with my old Audition Pro but it isn't a good solution as the voice/video are not perfectly in sync with that old headset. I guess if you want to use two headphones with the transmitter then stick with the headphone model they recommend. One caveat, if you integrate your sound bar and TV via HDMI then the transmitter may not be the best choice as it has to connect via headphone cable or optical connection. And your TV must be set to use PCM output. This is OK for me but might not be for you. All in all, this is a really great solution for TV listening for long after your partner heads off to bed or if you have trouble hearing the dialog on some TV shows. I've not had to use Avantree tech support but there are all sorts of ways to contact them if needed and I feel they will be standing by for my call or email. Highly recommended.UPDATE: I found out that, depending on your TV and sound bar, you can connect your TV to the sound bar via HDMI (allows the TV to turn on/off the sound bar, adjust volume, etc.) and still use the TV's optical output to drive the Avantree headphone transmitter. Still have to set the sound output to PCM (and not Dolby, etc.) but the sound quality is still great on my sound bar. And, since the Avantree transmitter has an optical splitter built in, I now have an optical cable running from the Avantree transmitter to my old low latency bluetooth transmitter that connects to my old Avantree Audition Pro headset. Voila! Both new and old Avantree headsets now connect perfectly so I'm set up for two listeners at once. Even more recommended now.

Uncomfortable, Audio Latency, and Closed Back???
(Return)They looked great, sounded great (a little quiet but you can turn them up), good signal, easy to set up.I had these headphones all of an hour before i packed them back up. They very first thing i noticed when i put these on was how uncomfortable i thought they were. They fit fine over my head and i have a big head. But my ears rubbed the inside of the muffs, they were much smaller than i expected. The padding was far too small and there wasn't enough room for my ears inside and this was a big deal to me but i wasnt going to let that ruin the headphones because they sounded great. The audio wasnt bad at all and i was almost able to walk to my mailbox and until they started cutting in and out.Now I stream my gameplay online and i use a a really nice XLR microphone and audio interface. I plugged the aux cable into my audio mixer and then to the transmitter and plugged the USB into my PC for power and then paired the headphones (which btw i read i wouldnt have to pair them..). Listening to music and watching people talk on Youtube looked fine and all but there was still a very small delay, probably 100ms or less. Less than 1/10th of a second. But that's enough. When i turned on my mic with 0 latency direct monitor on my audio mixer to hear myself talk it was late, sounded like an echo. Hearing myself twice, like someone was mocking me out of sync, was unbearable. This is a setting I use ALL THE TIME with my microphone and i even came to the conclusion that i just wouldnt use it anymore. I would just check my meter program to see how loud i was being instead of hearing myself. Since the delay wasnt bad enough to see the difference in video i was willing to try without it. By this point im actually getting quite annoyed with how uncomfortable they are for my ears and im just trying to appreciate my new headphones being wireless so im ignoring it.I play music and listen to the good sound quality while i talk to a friend of mine on discord and while im listening to music and not talking i look over and see that my microphone is picking up audio. I pause my music and ask my friend if they can hear my music (from my headphones) and they say yes they can. I take off my headphones and put the speaks against me as if they were on my head and SURE ENOUGH, they are BLASTING the sound on the outside too. I can hear the music as if it's just a speaker playing music.Like i said earlier, i stream my gameplay online and i cant have my audio going back into the microphone for my viewers to hear twice. That kind of audio issue is a sure fire way to lose viewers. With the moment heard the headphones playing music out loud, i immediately packed them up and issued a refund. I will update this in a couple weeks when i receive my full refund to let you all know how that goes. Amazon return policy will return my money within 7 days of amazon receiving the item.Maybe the technology just isnt there yet to have 0 latency with good quality. Stage earbuds for musicians are 0 latency but i heard they sounds bad and they cost upwards of $300-$700 for a set up.UPDATE: I received a FULL refund just a couple days after sending the item back through mail, which Amazon paid for the shipping. This doesnt make the product any different than I previously described, just saying their refund system is 💯
