Good Size (Dia.) Shaft, Easy To Hold.
The value for two sets of mallets is great! Lightweight, good length and diameter of shafts. Durable as well. I'm happy.

A good value, low price
I bought these mallets to use on the tongue drum that I found at an estate sale. Straight impulse buy, but now I know what it sounds like. We cam also use them for some of the band's other percussion instruments. I don't know how they will hold up under regular use, but they seem pretty sturdy. Time to get creative!

Just beware the size
These mallets are very well made, quality-feeling. The wooden handles are smooth (no splinters) and sturdy. The nicely wound pair has attractive dark wood stain on the handle. The problem is that although the description includes the terms "glockenspiel" and "orchestra bells", these mallets can NOT be used on those two-and-a-half octave sets of metal bells. These mallets are clearly made for larger instruments, with wider bars than the standard glockenspiel/ bells. And in fact the yarn-wound pair does not sound at all on metal bells -- they are intended for the wooden bars of the larger xylophone and marimba. My grandchildren play only the shorter, metal orchestra bells, and therefore could not use this gift.

They are great but I received two different color sticks -seller promptly sent another pair for free
These sticks really are great. The quality is very good. But I was so annoyed that my sticks were completely different colored. One being black one being mahogany.I emailed the seller pictures and they promptly sent a new set which is great, seller is great. The supplier might just need to improve quality control :)

Great value for beginning band students
Bought this for my son’s beginning band class in middle school, which was a better option (read: better quality and cheaper) than renting from local vendors. I would buy them again.

Fine poor description
I wish this would say the hardness of the mallets. Last time I bought this the black mallets were hard and plastic and the yarn mallets were very soft. This time the black mallets were soft and rubber while the yarn mallets were very hard.
