OXO Good Grips Toilet Plunger

This item is as expected: it works well, and sits there hidden in its own little container, looking neat and clean. PUtting it away is a one-hand deal. Just plop it in. No mess, no fuss, no ugly toilet area. I'd buy it again. In fact, this is the second one I've gotten anyhow.

This plunger truly earns its name. When my little one clogged the toilet with a bunch of tissue, I was dreading the mess. The OXO Good Grips plunger worked on the FIRST plunge. The design is genius—the accordion-style bell creates a perfect seal and much more pressure than a standard plunger. The long, comfortable grip kept my hands clean and away from the... well, you know. It stores neatly and discreetly. While I hope you never need it, this is the one plunger that will actually solve the problem when you do. Worth every penny. A complete life saver.

Love the look but not the best plunger.

Works well (the most important thing of course) - but looks good. I have old pipes - so we get clogs about once a month. Now I can keep the plunger nearby - because it looks good. So now everyone (including guests) can fix the problem.

Clean looking plunger & canister for a bathroom. The plunger itself has a strong white handle with a black rubber suction creating “head.” The canister is white and hides the black rubber head within its two side flaps which part as the plunger handle is lifted up and closes as the plunger is placed on the small platform it rests on within the canister when not in use. I will be updating this OXO Good Grips plunger regularly. I own an older home which has a toilet which requires daily plunging. So it’s durability & effectiveness will constantly be evaluated. At the moment after a couple of weeks of daily use, I highly recommend the OXO Good Grips. Update - I've been using the plunger at least twice a day (I know - YUK!!) for just over a month. The plunger and handle are up to the task. This plunger is well built. So BUY IT. The cannister is the weak link in this bathroom necessity. It is made of plastic. So far it hides the black plunger head when not in use. But it is made of plastic. I have been careful (gentle) when placing the plunger in the cannister. So we will see. There is another aspect of the cannister to consider at least for me. The plunger head is obvious wet after being used. The cannister comes with an opening to promote toilet water evaporation. For most users I'm sure this aperture is enough to handle the moisture, but in my case there isn't enough time between uses to allow nature to do its task. So cannister maintenance is part of the bathroom routine. Again the plunger and plunger head are well made. The cannister works well. I still highly recommend OXO Good Grips Plunger and cannister. Update 11/1/2019 Still very strongly recommend this plunger - 4 months in. So pleased with the plunger and cannister. Wish I could say the same for the current toilet. UPDATE 2/21/2020 We are now plunging into 2020. 8 months after purchase. Excellent plunger. I continue to HIGHLY recommend this plunger.

Even when your hands are wet (or you’re in a rush), you’ll have full control. After dealing with bargain-store plungers that barely last and make a mess, this one feels like a long-term investment. It’s a small household upgrade, but one I really appreciate every time it’s needed. If you’re looking for a plunger that’s as clean and convenient as possible, this is the one. OXO gets the little things right, and this is a perfect example of that.

Not as advertised. Does not come with a base, do not buy.

1) it stinks 2) the mechanism is kind of interesting 3) not very convenient to carry it - as mechanism opens and you need to hold both parts 4) the rubber stinks so bad, so that it is just not usable. tried to wash it or keep outside on balcony over a month - nothing helps. Had to through it away. Stinky stick is not good at all. Which is a big surprise to receive such 'thing' from OXO.

Excellent performance, it fitted the u-bend of the toilet just right, not much effort to plunge either, the handle doesn't hurt my hand like another plunger I purchased before. Nice base that opens like a Venus fly trap, very well contained product 👌
