Helping my pup, saving my back
This harness has been so incredibly helpful. It easy to put on as long as you can get it under your pup. Our girl has DM and advanced arthritis at 12.5 year old and this has help is keep her as mobile as her fragile body will allow. She is comfortable in it when lifting her and provides great support to help her use the bathroom. The buckles and Velcro feel very secure and high quality. For this price you can’t beat it. Really glad I purchased.

First day impressions
Ok my dog is upper end of range on chest and mid range on weight for the large size. It fits him well. Any longer though and he would have problems peeing. So if you have a not so long dog you might need to modify and trim an inch or two off Looks comfortable enough to leave on all the time. My dog doesn’t mind clothes. Feels like quality fabric. We’ll see how it holds up The handle unclips easily so he can walk around without it and we can clip on to get him up and down stairs. First Cary up stairs went well. He didn’t mind at all. A LOT easier than attempting to pick him up—he wiggles and legs go everywhere—in a panic. So this seems to be a lot less stress for him I need to play around with the handle strap adjustment to see what works best. A bit long was fine for me as I am tall. Adjusting for smaller and weaker members of the household will be the issue. The carrying position is a lot easier on my back than picking him up which requires poor and unsafe lifting posture. So I’m thrilled for now One month update This is great! Much easier getting him up and down stairs. He can help a little too. He wears it all the time. I have the straps adjusted real short and I tied up the excess strap material with a couple of hair ties so the handle strays on all the time and whenever he needs a lift it is quick and easy. He rarely rolls on his back so the handle isn’t in the way for him at all. Not sure if it would be a problem for a dog that likes to roll around a lot. The vest is very comfortable for him. It looks nice on him even with the handle attached. It has survived the first wash no problem (I let it air dry ). It seems pretty durable and well made. Thick material, no loose strings or trim, seems to be sewn well. I may consider getting a second one to make more frequent washing convenient, but it doesn’t seem to get dirty any faster than he does. My dog was apparently hit by a car early in his life and his back legs always worked a little goofy. Now that he is older some nerve degeneration and arthritis are making things more difficult. I got this when he sprained something back there, and he REALLY was having trouble and pain walking and climbing was out of the question. It has helped him with the acute problem which seems to have mostly healed now Perhaps the only minor downside is that he expects to be assisted to get on the bed now and he tries less on his own, and whines for help when he knows someone is around.

Great Quality but Previous Use
After opening pkg I noticed small amount of dog hair on product. It was nothing that impaired using it, but if we decide it will not work for us, I do not want to be responsible for this issue. Appears like great quality. Thank you

This was exactly the right choice for my doggie and me both and what we need.
My dog is an elder dog, a small chocolate Cocker Spaniel rescue. I got the item much sooner after ordered than originally estimated and got it a couple days ago. It looked just right for my Lizzie out of the package but I had some other items I ordered for other things that were more crucial to get to and today is the first day I tried it on to check out the fit and if she tolerated it well. I put kind of rubbed it on me to get my smell on it for her and then put it where she sleeps for the couple days before we tried it on. She has a little harness for walking that she likes very much and gets excited when she sees me get it out but this is bigger so I thought as long as I didn't want to try it on right away it might be good for her to have it nearby and get a chance to sniff it over and check it out. She did that and laid down with her head on it to go to sleep. LOL. Here's the details on the fit. I ordered the small size after taking all the measurements shown in the diagram and matching them up and her weight matched up with the small size too. She is about 23 pounds give or take a bit each time we go to the vet for her annual for the last six years. She was a rescue so not sure her age exactly as she was a stray, not brought in by someone who knew anything about her past. She is about 12 or 13 years old now according to vet's best guesstimates. He muzzle has gone white and she had some kind of injury to one of her rear legs that makes her splay it out to the side when sitting when she was adopted, but has never stopped her f4rom running like a young pup. In the last couple years she HAS had some trouble jumping up into the car, though to go places and the places I often take her are stores like Lowe's and Tractor Supply, BASS and petsmart or Pet Supplies Plus that allow dogs in there. I also have injuries and am definitely elderly now Myself and I have a lot of trouble if I have to lift her to help her in or out of the car, and especially in and out of the basket of the motorized shopping cart I usually have to use, or the regular carts if I am able to use them for short visits that I don't have a lot of things on my list to buy. She and I both enjoy these trips to the stores that allow dogs, and she gets excited when I say "Lowe's" because the local store we go to,, the employees and other customers. make such a fuss over her which she loves....she's a little schmoozer and knows how to use it to get treats from the store employees. So it was getting so that between her increasing stiffness and mine, that these trips were turning into a lot more torturous for both of us than pleasant. The vest/harness looked like it would be just the thing for both of us and now that I have tried it on her, it fits perfectly and she seems to like it a lot. So, at least for the small size, the measurements I took and her weight were spot on and it is not too tight, too loose and fits snugly without being to tight anyewhere. It clears her genitals and lower belly area just right so that she will not have any accidents that soil the harness. The under part comes to just below her ribcage and the upper part sits along her spine smoothly from her shoulders to just before the root of her tail. She can still walk and run in it the one piece construction is another plus for us and the front part is formed and curved just right to fit smoothly across her chest and not put any pressure her throat. Another plus is that the one piece construction is so easy to put on. Just lay it on the floor or other surface and put her front legs through the two holes made for them and pull the sides up along her body and the velcro tabs over to hitch it together and you're done. She almost put her own legs through the holes without any help herself like she knew just what this was for and maybe she does because in her past life she might have had something like this, who knows. But even if she doesn't get the hang of stepping her two front legs into the holes herself, its still not going to be a struggle for me to get it on her because there are no buckles or straps in hard to reach places all, just a perfectly fitting little one piece item that is not at all confusing as to how its supposed to go on with two broad, thic flaps to fold over to hook onto the velcro patches together. And those are large and broad too, on both parts. I'd say it took less than a minute to get the body of it on her the first time and that's with me having bad shoulders, a hand that doesn't work right anymore, weakened arm hand and shoulder strength so I can't put and tug things together if they are hard to line up, can't bend over very long and crouching or squatting down to reach under her to grab hanging buckle straps that also needed to be buckled together under her or between legs etc would be a nightmare. This is just perfect for us. All connections are on top and easy to use. This does not come with a handle sewn to the top. It comes with straps that clip on securely to two of the three sets of clip buckles sewn on the fabric construction of the vest itself, and the two straps are held together at where ever you want them placed with a nicely padded fabric velcro clasp just as shown in the pictures. The vest and all parts that come into contact with the doggie or your hand when carrying/walking/lifting are nicely padded, soft but firm and not with any kind of padding that is going to shift around, not too thin, not to thick or bulkey. Outside is smooth, inside lining has a little bit of texture that I also think is a plus to keep it slipping around a lot, and perforated to present some air flow or heat vents to keep it maybe cooler for doggie. Okay, now for the POSSIBLE negatives. I don't anticipate them for my dog and me, because of her small size but I have seen a couple of them mentioned for other, larger dogs. Some have mentioned ripping out of seams or the fabric around where the strap buckles are attached to the vest. I don't think this is going to be a problem with a dog the weight of my dog or smaller or even larger up to a point but if you have a very large and heavy dog, it might be. I am so pleased with everything else so far that if I noticed some tears like that, I would figure out something to add some reinforcement to the strap connectors or seams. The straps themselves are very sturdy and it would take a lot of hard use to start them fraying enough to worry about them breaking, even with a heavy dog. The clips that attach the carry straps are plastic but heavy duty like you would see on camping or other heavy duty strapping devices. They are push together clips that snap into place just by pushing the strap end firmly into the female clip on the vest. To release them you have to push in on the sides of the strap clip where there are openings in the receptacle clip and that is a little harder to get undone, which again, I'm taking as a good thing as it makes the clipping mechanism feel even sturdier and less apt to slop apart even after a lot of wear. Again, my dog is about 23 pounds and I think they would be okay for a heavier dog up to a point but maybe not enough for a very heavy dog if you had to do much lifting . However, if all you need is a comfortable way to give your big dog a little assistance and support walking or going up and down stairs without needing to lift all four feet entirely off the ground, these attachments might work just fine for even a large dog and the way the vest itself is made and fits, gives a lot of stability too. And there are three sets of buckles on the vest so you can attach the carry/lead straps to any two of them that work best for your dog's shape and size. Last possible problem I see so far is not really a problem unless you ignore the warnings. This vest is nicely padded but IS one piece and does not just provide a strappy framwork with padded parts and open parts. It's like a coat with no sleeves and I can see how a dog could get easily overheated in hot weather or even mild weather. There are warnings about this on the ordering page but I'm not really sure if there are any on the item or package itself as I didn't really look at them and they are in a pile of packaging of other stuff in the order right now that I don't want to dig through atm. I'd say do NOT leave the dog alone while wearing this vest even if the dog likes being in it (Its the kind of thing apt to be as calming as the thunder vests are for some dogs. My Lizzie seemed to love being in it after she got over the initial anxiety of something new and a few practice lifts off the floor to see how that went and she was wagging her tail. But don't forget this could get too hot over time, even in comfortable air conditioned temperatures. But again two sides to that...if you live in a cold climate and lose your heat in winter, and the temp starts to go down drastically, this would be the first thing I would put on my dog to help keep her warm if the temperature starts to get near to freezing and still no heat. So that's it. Long review but I usually don't write any unless there is some bonus offered and I didn't see any for this. I tried to hit the items I was concerned about in ordering and especially the sizing. I am so glad that the sizing was spot on from the measurements and weight given, because I hate to have to return anything to anywhere. Also there weren't many reviews of the sizing for smaller dogs her size on this item, so I was very happy when it fit her like it was custom made for her. Hope this helps others decide. Depending on the dog and the dog parent, what you need the sling/harness/carrier for, the circumstances, this might not be the best choice for you and your dog, but maybe if some people cans see comparisons with their use and situation with mine it will help them know more about how this might work for their dog. I will be really mad at myself for spending all this time on this review if the vest starts falling apart in a short time or something but I don't think I'm going to be mad at myself at all for praising it. Have a good day, folks.

Definitely has some positive points but wouldn't work for us.
This is worthy of a higher rating but for our dog we ended up returning it because when properly on her it restricted her back leg movement. She was mid-range of the measurements for sizing so a larger or smaller size wouldn't have fit her properly. If the straps that go between her legs had been longer it probably would have worked. Another consideration for this if you're thinking about buying it is that it's made of a wet suit or neoprene type material. We wouldn't have been comfortable leaving it on her for long periods of time because she tends to love cooler weather so I'm sure she'd have been hot in it for longer than a few minutes at a time.

Ottimo prodotto. È stato davvero utile per il mio jack russell che riusciva a stare in piedi e a muovere le gambe dietro

Very helpful in transporting my dog around, who can no longer walk after surgery. Crucial to take accurate measurements of your pet so as to choose the correct sizing. Seller's service is impeccable!

Tried this “sling” for the first time today. So far it seems really good. I’ve tried several others and they all suffered from either bad fit, bad balance, cheap materials or, worst of all, the inability to allow the dog to “do his business” without getting the sling wet or dirty. My dog has one lame back leg and this sling allows me to attach straps toward the front or rear legs to achieve support where it’s needed. The fit is somewhat adjustable and the medium size fits my 35 lb dog very well. The strap length for the handle is also adjustable and the material seems sturdy yet lite weight. My dog got used to the sling quickly and seemed very comfortable wearing it. The only improvement suggestions I would make are, 1. including another set of straps that would allow for a 3 point connection to the harness and 2. Creating a larger “divet or indent” on the underside of the harness material to better accommodate male dog parts to better avoid wetting the material when they pee. Definitely the best product of its kind that I have found to help my dog with his hind leg problems.
