Very versatile hub
With most ports you would want all in one place and running off a USB-C connection it is hard to go wrong. The hub seems well built and even has rubber buffers at either end of the short cable which would normally be the stress points. Little things like that show some attention to detail. All the ports are well laid out and labeled which again just shows some attention to detail. The VGA port is a nice extra as my laptop is only HDMI out and often you find yourself in a conference room with only VGA so I need to carry a separate dongle for that. This hub gives me that and more.It has 4 USB connection 2 x 2.0 and 2 x 3.0. I put 2 2TB flash drives into the 2.0 and 3.0 at the same time and a 64 GB SD card into the available slot all at the same time and was easily and quickly able to move files between any of them and the laptop. The hub does have a power connection or can run off the laptop power. It is a Type C power port so you can use any kind of power source that will run through USB C.I also ran the hub through a Type C to Type A connector into my laptop. All of the USB and SD slots worked fine, however, the Ethernet would not communicate with my laptop. I got the green power light, but no recognition that it was there. I am fairly sure this was due to the adapter. Though a high-quality adapter, often there are specific data issues. I just ordered a different adapter and will try it again when it arrives and update the review if there is any difference.Overall, a quality product that puts a lot of capability into one place and even comes with a nice travel bag.

The hub to end most hubs
Coming from a 6-in-1 USB C hub from UtechSmart, this 11 port hub is a massive expansion. The additional ports now allow any USB C enabled laptop to compete with a full blown desktop in sheer port selection. Now none of this means a thing if the quality and performance is sub par, but this, fortunately, is not the case. First of all, I love that this hub is built like a tank. It's solid but not too heavy. This alone makes it perfect for traveling. After continuous use for more than a week, the quality of this 11 port hub really becomes apparent. The best feature I've noticed about this hub is that it just does it's job without you even noticing it. The plug and play functionality of the hub makes setup super easy and super quick. I hooked up a 80 watt USB C charger and it even charged my XPS 15. I also got my full internet download and upload speed. I can't say that this USB hub will reach the advertised gigabit speed, but it should be more than enough for anyone. My only gripe of this product is its insane amount of heat generation. It runs perfectly OK, but after a while of using wired internet the aluminum body got pretty uncomfortable to hold. All said and done, this hub is a must buy in my opinion because it surpassed my expectations while also managing to maintain consistent performance through rigorous use.

Very useful for the functionality
Compact unit, with a very nice aluminum finish. Useful collection of ports. My objective was a mechanically robust port-expander (with all the ports beingoperations) for my windows-10 laptop which only has USB-C ports. This is a greatbuy from the perspective of a port-expander if that is your objective. However, there is a tradeoff -- this product is expensive for the performance that it delivers. Can't use both card-readers at the same time -- it is a one or the other deal.USB ports are flaky -- can't just plug a phone in and get to access its contents if you alreadyhave USB devices (like a wireless mouse) already plugged into the this device -- have to unplugthe hub, plug all the devices in and then plug the hub into the laptop and it *may* recognize allthe devices.Have not tried the wired-Ethernet port, display ports (VGA and HDMI) and headset.Other reviewers have commented on the display ports.Summary -- Device performance merits a price tag of 30 - 40 USD, not 70 USD.

Light, durable, effective all in one tool
As more and more new laptops come out each year, it seems fewer and fewer ports are being included in the design. Now it's often just the USB-C port included only. That creates the need for an all in one connector device and this USB C hub does the job really well. It has some really useful ports like an ethernet port that I don't often see. Surprisingly I've had to use this when my wireless went down or I've traveled to an office on business that only had wired connections. Some libraries still have this setup too. Another important one is HDMI ports. New laptops like the Mac Book Pro doesn't have one so I've needed this to connect to my external monitor. Two features I like about the device is one, it's durable. The connection is reinforced and flexible so I can bend it behind my laptop. It's also very lightweight which is impressive given how much is going on in the device. All in all I think it's a good investment and worth buying.

Interfaces with ASUS 14.5 OLED VivoBook Intel Evo 12th gen I7
The EvoBook has two Thunderbolt 4 connectors but no Ethernet port. One of the connectors is used for power so a hub is required if you have a few peripherals. The Utechsmart hub is a good functional fit with this laptop but I was absolutely unable to get any response from the manufacturer despite their professed customer orientation. I asked if the hub would interface with the VivoBook, no answer. The good news is that the device interfaces very well with the EvoBook. It charges at full power and all the functions work. I did not try the VGA port. The only odd thing is that the computer will not boot to Windows if the Ethernet port is connected to a router. Unplug the Ethernet cable and it resumes booting. Once you are in Windows, Ethernet works fine at least up to 900 MBs.It is a very reasonably priced device and a great enhancement for the VivoBook which is a surprisingly powerful computer. Even though there was a small glitch in my application I give the device a full five stars

Best of its class
After using every single day for more than a year, I can recommend that to all. Everything works great, no band mark on the cable. High quality build and feel. For function, those ports are more than 99% would need.

Exceeds expectations
This dongle seems very good so far. All of the ports work, and numerous different ports can be used at the same time. It is compatible with thunderbolt 3 as well as USB-C devices. This device works, as is probably evident in other reviews, so I will focus on some special things I noticed:I just wanted to make sure everyone knew about the way that the female USB-C port on the dongle works. If your device supports charging via USB-c (or thunderbolt 3), you can plug a power cord into it to charge your device while using the dongle. If your device does not support this, it will output power through the dongle's USB-c port so you can charge a phone or something else with it. Note that that port does not pass data through it (so no daisy-chaining dongles) but that was never advertised as one of its capabilities anyways. Overall, this power system works very well. The USB ports, headphone jack also work when I plug the dongle into my android phone, and will likely work with your android too, provided that your phone has a USB -c port rather than the older port whose name I forget. The vga/hdmi video output should work if your phone supports it (mine doesn't, and I can't test it). Plugging a phone into a router to get internet is a bit ridiculous, but that didn't stop me from testing it. Unfortunately, the ethernet doesn't work with my phone (works perfectly with laptop/desktop). I believe this is because android lacks support for ethernet, though I may be wrong. Also, though I never tested the card readers, they probably work with a phone as well. After these 2 things, everything else works as expected, earning this product a strong recommendation.

Works for me!
Just started using this today with my ipad pro 12.9 and it is worked very well for me. It is lightweight, which is great for portability. I was watching a video (Aux port for headphones), typing notes (using a wireless K400 logitech keyboard a friend gave me. Since the keyboard is not bluetooth I used the usb 2 port) and charging the ipad at the same (usb c port). There was a little heat on the adapter but seems to be normal temp and not worrisome. I recommend it definitely but Can it be a little cheaper though?
