Wiha 26197 7 Piece Precision Slotted and Phillips Screwdriver Set

I bought this Wiha set because I had the opportunity to use at work the 261/PH1x60 Phillips screwdriver and I was impressed about the quality of this old tool. You can see a comparison in the attached photo between the old screwdriver (left) and the new one. I was disappointing when I realised that the set you get is NOT the one in the description photo of the product. Amazon should take care about these issues with the supplier companies. It is a new version whose quality is not as good as the old screwdriver from my work. Even further, I received a broken tip in one of the slotted screwdriver as you can see in the attached photos, and the vapor hard chromed satin non slip tip is missing in the 261/PH1x60 Phillips screwdriver (also in the attached photo). I will test now about Wiha's No Hassle Guarantee and see if I get a replacement or repair for the broken one.

I have the same set from 2018 or so which was made in Germany (approx $60 in 2018 dollars). They still hold up well and I thought to buy an extra set to see how good they are since they shift production somewhere else and also since they were a lot cheaper. I’ve used these for about 3-4 months now and I’m happy to report that I don’t notice any difference between the German and these. The finish of the handles and tips are identical and they hold up to wear. Be careful with the smallest flathead driver as high torque will twist the metal. I encountered this both with my old German driver and these - I just sand them down to a usable tip so no loss.

Excellent precision screwdrivers. Well finished to exacting tolerances. Handles are fantastic. Would not buy anything else but Wiha Great for any delicate job especially on reading and sunglasses.

These screwdrivers are truly of excellent quality. The ones I owned previously were always stripping the screws and having their bits worn out. These on the other hand gave me no trouble whatsoever.

These are much better than what you can buy at Home Depot. I had a small screw that I was unable to remove with my existing screwdrivers. I purchased this set at the screw came right out on the first try.
