Took a leap of faith on these... and it paid off but let me explain why.
First of all, if you notice, these are nearly the exact same headphones as the Kingston Hyper X Cloud headset (minus the mic of course) which is the same as the Qpad QH-90. If you catch the Tek Syndicate video about making your own gaming headset, they mention this in that video. This is GREAT because these are based off Beyerdynamic technology and even look very similar to the 770 pros. Then WHY go for these instead of Hyper X cloud with the detachable mic? Because they are open back! The soundstage is significantly better here which creates a very clean sound.LAST Thing to consider - These sound significantly better when run through, even a very cheap headphone amp, many of which cost $30-$60 on Amazon OR a higher end motherboard audio OR a dedicated sound card. I played these through my own system and was initially disappointed. I like a wide variety of music from Alternative to Film score, Dubstep, Rock, Hip Hop etc. When listening to bassy tracks these really were quite good. But with guitar they just lost that crisp twang of the guitar strings. I listened to Hotel California by the Eagles and it was very apparent. HOWEVER, I took these to my friends house who has a very high end motherboard with great onboard sound and they were almost like a new pair of headphones. The bass sounded a tad cleaner and less muddy. The mids were MUCH more crisp, the guitar strings came back to life, and the highs were pretty much unchanged (which was good for this price).PROS:- Exact same as Hyper X Cloud at half the cost- Open sound stage- Great build quality- Price TO Performance ratio- Really good audio quality for this price and AMAZING audio quality when run through amp or good sound card- Based off "industry standard" technology that is tried and true- Very sharp clean look- Velour ear pads which are very comfortableCONS (so few for this price, lets be real THEY'RE $50! ):- Should really be amped to make them shine- Somewhat unknown headphone manufacturer- No detachable cable or fancy carrying case- Meh packaging that it came inCONCLUSION: I highly doubt you'll be disappointed with your investment. They feel rock solid and built to last, they have the potential to sound amazing. You're not taking a huge gamble in only spending $50 so what have you got to lose?

Pretty amazing for the cash!
Mind-blowing for the price. These are without-doubt a terrific entry-level open-back headphone, I have heard no other open-back headphone under $100 that even comes close. Responds very well to amplification, in fact I highly suggest you use them with at least some form of amp. I use these with both a BottleHead Crack tube amp, and an Bravo Ocean hybrid amp - either amp helps make this set of cans really achieve their potential. They are bit slight on the top-end, easily addressed with a bit of EQ this is so not an issue. If you add an Antlion ModMic to these, they'll make an excellent set of gaming headphones (assuming you don't need to isolate yourself or the game sounds from others in the room). The earpads are a bit firm, but are also surprisingly comfy. Would definitely buy again and they are on my list of 'recommended' headphones - they p0wn the $50 price-point IMHO!

High end sound, low price. Seriously consider these if you want to try open end sound
I saw these recommended by so many people so I decided I would try these. First of all --I want to get this out there--these are amazing. I didn't think sound this good was possible a this price range. The box came a little dinged up, but it could have come covered in dirt for all I care. These headphones are a game changer. Sound signature wise, the sound stage is awesome. It's not hyper exaggerated like some other open ended headphones, but the sound signature is a bit colored. By that I mean, it's not flat. The bass is boomy, and highs are pronounced. I guess their sound signature is slightly "V" shaped. I could go on about how the build quality is contains mixtures if glorious metal and smooth plastic but whatever. I've been playing video games with these and I can hear the character's footsteps so clearly when he walks and his dog panting next to him when he runs. It's unreal. I tried playing Deadspace but I stopped because the sounds felt too real. If you want open headphones and are unwilling to pay more than $200 dollars get these. I would even argue these can compete with headphones at that price range. Don't believe me? Get a pair of these. For ~$50 these will break any value meter you might have for sound. If I broke these I would instantly get another pair, I wouldn't even think about it. I'm addicted.Edit: When I bought these, i paid around $50-60. It seems the price has changed since then.
