Fits and works great. DGood price. All I wanted.

I bought a Marquis for a fun and comfortable travel car. Of course, a couple of the windows did not function properly, but you could hear the motor turning. So, a bit of research lead to this Regulator. It installs easily. The most difficult thing is drilling out the rivets holding the glass to the mounting bracket (just a little nerve racking at first). I suggest going to the Autoclinix website for a great tutorial. Made the whole thing very smooth.I used 3/4" by 1/4" hex bolts with Nylon locking nuts to reassemble rather than the rivet method. Was not difficult at all. Removing the speaker in the Marquis door made it much easier. I also added a bit of pure silicon grease (comes in squeeze tube) to the rubber seals to allow the window easier movement. It takes very little in each rubber channel. Check the gear box of the motor assembly before you put it all back together. If you hear (or heard earlier) a clunking sound when the motor is activated and the window is still not moving, you will need to disassemble and check the gear assembly. There are some easy free fixes for most problems with the Ford gears. Some of the gears inside are notorious for falling apart, and the fixes on the internet are worth doing while you have it apart.

Recieved and installed this part. Have done this task before so I had some experience. Don't think that you are going to complete in 1 hour. But take your time and job is very doable. I replaced the rivits with 1/4 inch bolts because past experiences replacement parts do not last like original parts. And next time it will be time saver.

Product worked great, I did the installation myself, took me 3 hours and a couple trips to harbor brought for tools. The one thing I didn’t like is that this didn’t come with any nuts or bolts to replace the rivets I had to remove for installation. It was a tedious project, but $30 and some sweat equity was much more affordable than an arm and a leg at the mechanics. Fingers crossed the quality is there and it lasts, because I do not want to replace it again anytime soon!

This is the second window regulator I purchased for the same window within the 6 months from the same vendor. I had difficulty installing the previous regulator and it arrived in a box wrapped in paper with very little to no lubrication along the slides. This window regulator arrived sealed in a plastic bag and well lubricated in all the appropriate locations. It aligned with the factory drilled holes in the door perfectly. Once installed, the window operated smoothly and more important quietly. More so than the previous window regulator. Should I need to, I would purchase this product again and recommend this product to anyone looking for a window regulator for the appropriate vehicle make and model.

I generally like Dorman products, but this one disappointed me. The white plastic molding that holds the lifting cradle to the track had many small cracks. They werent huge, open cracks, but hairline cracks and obvious enough to be concerned about. They seemed to be from the manufacturing process. My box was in perfect condition. It was obvious to me that the cracks were there when it left the factory, as the grease was worked into them. This white plastic is very important, and if the cracks get bigger, it would cause the unit to fail. It is a high stress area.I sent it back to amazon for a replacement, and they sent me another one, but this one also had some small cracks in the same general area, but not as many and not as bad.Because I didnt want to throw the dice on another possibly cracked unit, I decided to take a partial refund from amazon and kept the regulator.The unit fit into the car just fine, like most Dorman products, but all the while I was wondering, (with small cracks already started) how long it would hold up under use. Only time will tell. It works fine so far, but with all the work it takes to uninstall your old unit, and replace it in the door, I have to say I was disappointed that Dorman would not do a better QC job of checking this, and especially that part of the regulator. So far its working fine, and fit just fine, but I felt uneasy putting something in the car that wasnt right from the very beginning.

Part was a perfect fit and i had no issues installing it or getting it to work on my 2003 Grand Marquis. Simply drill out the old pop rivets with a 3/8 drill bit and remove the old unit. I used 1/4 20 half inch stainless screws to replace the rivets with nylon lock nuts. That way if i ever have to take anything apart its much easier than with rivets.This part did come with replacement rivets and some door fasteners that were not mention in the description. This part seems alot more sturdy than the old part so im really happy with they way it worked out.

I purchased one of these in September last year, and it already has stopped working. It's past the return window, so now I have to buy another one. I'm disabled and have a limited income and can't afford to buy one of these every 6 months.

Purchased this for my ‘03 Marauder. This specific window regulator doesn’t come with any additional rivets, which is perfect because I replaced every rivet with a nut and bolt.A lot of people told me that Dorman regulators are prone to failure, but I have yet to have a problem so far.

The price was good and dorman makes quality parts.
