PMD Clean - Smart Facial Cleansing Device with Silicone Brush & Anti-Aging Massager

I recently reviewed a Neutrogena Microdermabrasion Kit below, but after using it for about a week, I found the cons outweighed the pros, so I went looking for something a little different and a little better. I think I found that something in the PMD Smart Facial Cleansing Device. First, I ordered blush, and I did receive blush, but when I added the device to my shopping cart, the color listed was berry. I tried adding berry, and I still got berry, so I put the blush back in my cart and hoped for the best. Sure enough, blush is what I received, and it's a beautiful pale pink with rose gold at the bottom. I'm greatly affected by my surroundings, so the colors I use and surround myself with are very important. I love this cleansing system, so far. I love the fact that I don't have to hassle with a cord or charging. I just have to keep enough AA batteries on hand so I never run out and find myself unable to cleanse or massage with my PMD. The battery (it only takes one) is very easy to put in. Just unscrew the bottom, pop it in, and you're ready to go. I also love the fact that this device has a brush head made of silicone. I don't have to worry about any bacterial growth, and I don't have to purchase new brush heads every month or so. This device seems quite sturdy and well built, so I think it'll last for months and months of cleansing. I love the fact that this device is waterproof, even though I never take it into the shower with me. I like being able to rinse it without worrying that I'm damaging anything. The device is neither too big nor too small. It's been ergonomically designed to fit in the hand, and I find it very comfortable to use. I usually don't use it in the morning, but I do use it every evening, and about three times a week I use it with my facial scrub. It really seems to get the job done and leaves my skin feeling soft and silky and dewy. (I should note that I bought this for cleansing and massaging only. I don't have blemishes, blackheads, scars, or sensitive skin, just very dry skin.) It fits my hand perfectly, and it's not heavy or difficult to manipulate at all. I usually use the gentle setting, but my face can easily tolerate the more vigorous setting. After cleansing, I apply toner, essence, oil, and serum, and I use my PMD to massage them in. They do seem to penetrate much better with the device than without, and I even use a 0.25 derma needler three times a week to ensure my products are absorbed. I love the facial massage as well because it tones and firms the skin. Our skin begins to lose tone after age twenty-five (horrible, I know), so we all need all the help we can get. After I massage in my facial products, I apply either a sleeping mask or my daytime moisturizer to lock in all that good stuff. As I already said above, I didn't buy this to use for blackheads, so I don't mind that it does not have suction or that it's a wee bit difficult to get into the area right beside my nose. However, if you're looking for one to extract blackheads, this might not be for you, wonderful as it is. You might want to look for something with suction, instead. If I have one criticism of this, it's that we have to cycle through all the settings to turn it off. I wish they'd made one button for cleansing and one for massaging. But, it is what it is, and that's a quibble, I think. All-in-all, I love my PMD, and I feel it's really helping my skin. I recommend it highly.

Got the basic PMD clean about 4 days ago. The battery was easy to install. Love the turquoise color as well. It has 4 or 5 various vibration settings, starting with a gentle one, then the more intense one which I have been using, and 2 or 3 more settings that vibrate a bit differently in an on and off way. I don't actually like those to use for now, as I much prefer the 2nd setting of steady vibration. At first I was a bit skeptical that even the more intense setting didn't seem to be intense enough and that the tiny bristles were too small, but since you can use this daily twice a day, it actually works out for me just about perfectly. I also use the back side to massage the creams and serums in and after my routine my face feels very refreshed and very soft, as well as very clean. I don't use makeup so can't offer advice on how well it does on that, but it is a very nice little handheld device for both daily facial cleaning and massaging your favorite creams in. I've read that some one didn't like it as it gave them an instant headache, which I'm not sure how that is possible. I really like this one. The only issue I have to get used to a bit is how to best hold the handle, but it's mostly very easy and convenient. Overall I recommend this product for daily use. I use specialty facial products which are not available for the general public and this device is a nice addition to my daily routine and definitely makes my skin clean and soft.

Device head never needs replacing. - The device is lightweight and the ergonomic handle makes it easy to hold. - The size and shape of the device head allows for ease of maneuvering and cleansing around the nose area. - Powered by a single AA battery (included in the package). No hassle associated with charging cords and outlets. - Simple to use right out of the box. Pop in the battery and cycle through 4 available modes with each press of the button on the handle. - Compared to the Foreo devices, the PMD Clean is more reasonably priced and doesn't require the complexity of using a phone app to activate the device or to adjust settings. PMD is also waterproof and can be submerged in water, whereas the Foreo devices have an open charging port that water can get into. CONS: - Cons may be more personal preference-specific… For Clarisonic users or those who are accustomed to nylon brush heads, the PMD device may take some getting use to. Feels like placing a hard object against your skin and may not feel like it's doing anything (because it's gentler and less stripping/less damaging to the skin than nylon brush heads). For Foreo users, there are less settings for intensity and duration and fewer customizations available. OVERALL COMMENTS: - This is a simple and easy-to-use facial cleansing device right out of the box. It does the job nicely. It's a device worth trying. - Unlike the Foreo devices, PMD users don't have to deal with the hassle of downloading a smartphone app to activate, adjust and navigate the tool, or be concerned about potential data privacy issues.

I absolutely love this, it leaves my skin feeling clean and revitalised. I can actually see how the difference in my face since using this.

So I didn't think this product would live up to the hype but it really does. It is easy to use, the handle is key. Also within the first two weeks it cleared one deep seated clogged pores by bringing it to the surface. In general I feel like my screen is clearer not because using this device prevents blemishes but rather brings them to the surface quickly so they get resolved much quicker. The bristles are soft and it's easy to clean/dry. I tried using the non bristle side to massage in lotion bilut it just made the lotion pill - it might work better for a face oil but in general I only use the bristle side. I also like when this product dries after you rinse it there are no watermarks or weird residue staining left on the brush.

This is a perfect handheld facial cleansing device. Small enough to hold comfortably in my hand and the vibration thoroughly cleanses my skin. There’s a vibration setting for applying my moisturizer, my serum and my cleanser. It’s flexible and it contours my face. Very minimal maintenance as it only uses one AA battery which lasts a few months (daily use, am and pm) and the antibacterial silicone material only requires soap and water for cleaning. No part replacements needed. I’ve been using this device for almost a year now and I can already feel the difference in my skin with it feeling very soft and supple. My skin is also squeaky clean after each use. It is a little bit pricey but still a lot cheaper than other brands offering the same qualities. This product is very much worth it and I would highly recommend it!
