Q: How many bones are in the box ?

you get one bone not the box the picture is misleading . and the bone is not worth the money

Q: Is the filling suppose to be really soft?

My dogs bone filling is really soft. I assume its to be licked rather than chewed at least that is my interpretation of how my dog uses it

Q: is this suitable for a 7 month old golden retriever?

I had a Guide Dog Puppy. What I did because their tummies are so delicate I took the inside out and put his food in and froze it . He had dry food which I soaked and mushed up in some hot water. Great for their teeth. Don’t get antlers they can break their teeth. Hope this helps.
