During my working life , before I retired in the early days, Fibreglass and Micafill were the products for insulation. Then Rockwool became the norm. I was always sceptical about the new kid on the block used by NASA, that being, Spacefoil and multifoil. On retiring I re-roofed the workshop which was cold and damp with condensation. I used SF19 Superfoil under a steel roof, this was a few years ago and condensation is a thing of the past and now I have a warm in Winter and cool in Summer workshop. I am in the process of installing SF19 Superfoil to the loft rafters over the attic rooms. Until I used this product I was living in the past ! Multilayer Foil is up there with the best.
