We all know why you are thinking of getting this. .. It's cheap! Same reason I got it!Now hear is what you may not know. It's awesome!I paid 30 Bucks with free shipping and I love this thing!mic is great! Not the best but if picks up vocals well enough good design and the on and of switch is nice.Stand feels kinda cheap yet sturdy and has many bending points to help with the boom. love the fact it comes with wire clips to keep the included cable secure.Again for 30 dollars I have a complete package with no defects and perfect beginner intermediate quality.Get this product. If your thinking about it you already know why your looking at this particular combo. It's the cost. ..Can't beat it!

Easy to set up, sturdy, and very functional. Best part is the cost is about half of what I thought it would cost. Now I can buy a second one!

This mic kit was great at first. I bought it in June and used it for a handful of rehearsals and one gig and it was awesome. At the second gig it decided to stop working. I was able to get it to work putting through and amp and then to the mixer. Another bandmate has the same mic kit, just purchased recently. Hers stopped working altogether. The bag and stand are great. Just wish the mic would’ve lasted longer. Very disappointed.

I needed a microphone and stand quick, and for a good price. This kit was perfect! Not only did I get a microphone, stand, cable, and pouch for the mic, but a perfect carrying case.I was concerned that for such a great price I might have been sacrificing quality in the mic. But I have used this mic 3 or 4 times now, and the sound quality is clear and sounds just as good as anyone else in my group, who paid more for their mics. So I am very happy with this purchase and am grateful for the savings too!

Good product, stand is sturdy, MIC sounds good, and would work well for a back up in an emergency. Star of the show is the stand. Its pretty nice. Gig bag hold everything well.Just to let you know, mine arrived with a XLR male to 1/4in male cable, so if you ARENT planning on going straight to an amp, you will need the 1/4in female to male XLR converter, or a male/male XLR cable. Amazon is pairing this product with a XLR female to 1/4 male bundle. You dont need it, and Im letting Amazon know as soon as Im done here.The converter you really need is the Neutrik NA3MJ XLR Male To 1/4 Female Adapter or something similar.Rock on!

This is my 2nd one of these. The first I got from my brother but after using it 3-4 a week, one of the screws stripped at the bottom and I could no longer use it to tighten up the stand so I bought another one. So far it's holding up great. It gets used a lot. The mic that comes with it is just fine. I feel now that I've purchased this one that if something does go wrong, Peavey will have my back. I recommend this great little package. It's not a "kid" thing at all. It's pretty high quality actually.

I would have given this product SIX Stars if it was allowed! After receiving the package and putting everything together I had to go back and check the price to make sure it was correct! I could not believe that everything was included for the price I paid. This is PERFECT for what I need. Let me tell you that the mic stand alone was worth the price. The package came in absolute perfect condition and the carrying case makes it all the more compact as everything fits nicely. I found some other mics that were twice as expensive but did not have the extras that come with this package.

Stand is solid, and the clutches, clip, and grips feel good and sturdy. The mic included is nothing to do a dance over, but it certainly doesn't sound bad. A bit brassy, but not much EQing required to get it in the ball park. Cable is definitely a cheap one, but for a spare I'm sure it will hold up just fine. Peavey doesn't tend to make things that are flimsy. Only one reason for the lack of 5 Stars: The bag is too short, so you have to fold the stand clip-end up, extending the boom all the way to the knuckle end. Whoever made this decision must not gig much. It forces you to fold the boom the wrong way, leaving the plastic clip exposed, and most use happens with the boom extended to the other end. Bad design = -1 star. This is such a myopic design choice, any real roadie would put it all back in the bag, and then beat you with it.UPDATE: Still fairly satisfied, but the clutch at the base stripped out. Most likely would not buy again. Yet another failure because of cheap materials at a key stress point. White metal on white metal? Really Peavey? How much more would it have cost to put two tiny pieces of good steel in that spot? We're talking about maybe 2 nickels worth of decent metal bits. Ridiculous.
