Sennelier is my favorite brand
The pigment of Sennelier is either something you’ll like or not. The colors are beautiful and what’s nice about this is that it dries I’m about 3 hours and leaves a satin finish. The end product is very pretty

Love it!!!
This is the only oil paint I'll use. It is wonderful, and Sennelier oils can't be beat. You don't need the "professional" level of their paint--this is absolutely top-notch. Enjoy your painting, everyone!!!

SPOILED ROTTEN!!! Favorite oil paint hands down great customer service
CAUTION BUYING FROM California fine arts alliance!!! (Second tube so another review, as my first tube was through hyatts and was not nasty like this!!) ca fine arts alliance SENT ME A ENTIRE ROTTEN CHUNKY tube IT LEAKED EVERYWHERE BURNT MY SKIN AND HAD QUESTIONABLE CHUNKS IN IT HIGHLY CONCERNED!!!! One star for this second tube. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING UNACCEPTABLE CONDITION FOR THIS Brand QUALITY OF PAINT reminds me of a rotten version of the etude line and even that didn’t burn my skin!!!! Look at the first good batch vs second image of the nasty one so gross!!!!! I attempted to transfer it after a leak into my own tubes and had to throw one away because of this and I won’t be reimbursed sadly for this disgusting products havoc and loss of materials do not buy from them!!!! First review (first image only nice and smooth and like thick cream) I got the large sennelier rive gauche in titanium white it’s a thick cream like consistency and my favorite of all paints and I have a lot of them! The price was right vs buying several small tubes and even though My tube experienced a small hole with some handling (recommend preventing creases and not squeezing randomly along the tube of any oils start from the bottom and work up slowly and carefully) but the seller was so easy to work with and fixed my issue without any hassle unlike Jerry’s artarama where I had an allergic reaction to their house brand paint and they want to charge me to ship back the item myself which is ridiculous! Even if Hyatt’s price is more than stores like Jerry’s for something’s due to this experience I will definitely buy from them again and I have an extensive history of art supply purchases of all kinds and from tons of stores no one’s this easy to work with when you have a valid reason! This issue is rare for the brand I experienced this issue with Paul Rueben’s but never with sennelier so I’m sure it was just either my being too rough with the creases unintentionally or just a random one that was a defect but due to the exceptional customer service I will be a repeat buyer for their care and duty to their customers they may loose money short term with issues like this but a smart business like Hyatt’s knows u spend a dollar to make a hundred unlike Jerry’s who would rather gain a dollar and loose a hundred and a loyal repeat customer. Thanks so much for your excellent service! This paints excellent for all artists of all kinds and a little goes a long way! Love this paint so much hope sennelier never discontinued this line!

4.9 stars, for sure
This is really good paint. I bought Anthraquinone Blue, Prussian Blue, and Naples Yellow. Other Naples I've tried, with varying bases, have all taken FOR-EVVV-ERRRR to dry. Not this stuff. They say Safflower oil is used, but I wonder sometimes with the accelerated dry time if it's actually safflower alkyd. That's how fast this stuff dries! If you REALLY want to glaze fast... add some Galkyd Gel from Gamblin. My god... it literally dries in under a few hours in a decently warm (and not humid) room, and you're doing your next glaze/layer. Satin finish is also a plus. I dislike gloss finishes in oils and it helps control the shine when glazing if adding Galkyd or some other medium. This stuff is stinky. For that reason, and the simple fact that paints like Williamsburg, Old Holland and BlockX exist with higher pigment loads (though the pigment load in Rive is decent), it gets a 'high fours' rating. Pick a tube up and try it if you work in layers and need faster dry times The Blues are also great. Good pigment load... Great transparency with the Anthra Blue, great opacity with the Prussian. One little drawback about the Prussian, the only one: the dry time is so fast on this stuff that I came back 6 hours later to use more, and a skin had already started on the grape size bead on my palette. I did not expect it to dry that fast. It's almost too fast! But there are modifiers... so not a big deal. Use only what you need immediately with the Prussian. Anthraquinone takes slightly longer, about midway between Naples and Prussian. So... I guess in conclusion, they are great paints that are WELL worth the purchase price for what you get. The only recommendation I have is that when you get them, you test dry times as they seem to vary greatly from pigment to pigment. That, and good ventilation... PEW! Too much oil, too little pigment for too much money
It was on sale. Sennelier is the triumph of marketing over matter. The “butteriness” is quite simply more oil, less pigment. I’m quite good at two things - knifing oil into paint if I need it “buttery” and researching the chemical composition and any extenders added to stiffen paint. I prefer more pigment at a better price for stable non-fugitive paintings than I do sttoking my ego with a logo no one will ever see.

The paint colour and texture and quality are as expected. However the packaging wasn’t!, the tube of paint was in its own flimsy cardboard box, which was then put in a Jiffy bag. For the first time ever I have to say, Jackson’s what were you thinking of, the paint arrived inevitably with. The box and tube of paint both squashed, and I had to refold over the bottom end of the tube.
