Lutron Caseta Smart Home Dimmer Switches - Happy!
Lutron Caseta Smart Home Dimmer Switches - Happy! I had recently been experiencing flickering with my lights on a random and more regular basis. My research indicated to me that it can be the switches causing this. As a result, I thought I'd look for new switches to see if that would resolve my flickering issues. My research led me to the Lutron Caseta Smart Home Dimmer Switches. So I purchased what was needed for my open area in my house which includes our kitchen, dining space, and family room. In our kitchen, we have 3 light groups. Our main group has 7 ceiling lights with 2 switches. We then have 2 pendant lights over our island with 1 switch. Our 3rd group, we have 1 pendant light over our sink with 1 switch. In our dining area, we have 6 ceiling lights with 3 switches. In our family room area, we have 4 ceiling fan lights with 1 switch. Based on my research, I determined what I needed to purchase to replace my switches noted above. I purchased 5 new switches, 3 remotes with 3 wall plate brackets, plus the smart bridge. The single switches were very simple to install. I then had a case where I had a 3-way switch scenario and a 4-way switch scenario. I worked on the 3-way switch one first - I was bad and failed to mark the wire that was connected to the different color screw when disconnecting the old switch - my failure to follow the directions Lutron provides. :( This resulted in not connecting the wires properly on switch the first time. The lights would come on but I could not turn them off or dim them. After turning the breaker switch back off, I did some research to figure out my problem. This is when I discovered my mistake noted above. I then figured out which wire I should have marked. I then reconnected the wires accordingly to the switch. I then tried it again. This time I had success which allowed me to turn the lights off, dim the lights, and of course turn the lights back on. In my next case with the 4-way switch, I took what I had learned from the 3-way switch mistake I made and applied it for this situation as provided in the instructions by Lutron for a 4-way switch case. This time I took the proper step to mark the necessary wires as noted in the instructions. In following the directions better this time, I had success on my first attempt. :) The remotes replaced switches in a number of cases. I was able to pair those easily with its intended light group/switch. I added the smart bridge to my network, installed the Lutron app, and was able to pair everything in the app to all of my lights that I installed the new switches for. So in addition to using the switches, I am now able to use the app to turn the lights on/off, dim the lights, and creates scenes. Finally, I added the skill needed for Alexa to work with my new light setup. Now, I can just tell Alexa to turn a specific light on/off, dim the light, plus I can have Alexa apply a scene that I have setup. It is very slick. I am very impressed with these light switches. They are very simple to install. It is simple to pair the light switch remotes. It is simple to set up and configure the smart bridge. It is simple to configure to work with Alexa. I give Lutron an A+ for the ease of installing these lights. In doing all of this, my 10-year-old son helped me with all of this, and by the end, he was doing a lot of this by himself with little guidance from me. It was a great learning experience for my son and I. I explained the dangers of electricity and making sure we proceed very cautiously, plus this should never be something he attempts to do on his own. Safety is of the utmost importance in dealing with electricity. I have changed light switches in the past and worked/helped on some remodels, but I am in no way an electrician ... novice with some exposure. In the end, it appears my light flickering has disappeared, at least up to this point. It is early yet - just a few days, but it is very promising. This was the goal of the upgrade to fix the light flickering. I love it so far. Thanks to Lutron for making this all so simple. Additionally, I would like to note that if you are not comfortable with this DIY install, please get help from an electrician. Better safe than sorry.

Perfect Wall Mount for Pico Remote – Simple and Effective!
I recently purchased the Lutron Caseta Smart Lighting Wall Plate Bracket to mount my Pico Smart Remote, and it’s exactly what I needed! The bracket is a simple but essential accessory that makes using the Pico remote much more convenient, and it blends seamlessly into my existing setup. Installation was incredibly easy. The bracket fit perfectly into a standard wall plate, and I didn’t need any special tools or skills to set it up. It took just a few minutes to mount the Pico remote securely, and once in place, it looked just like a traditional switch. I love that this bracket allows the remote to sit flush with the wall, giving it a sleek, built-in appearance. It really helps keep things looking neat and organized, especially if you’re like me and prefer a clutter-free space. One of the standout features of this bracket is how sturdy and secure it is. The remote clicks into place firmly, so there’s no worry about it wobbling or falling out, even with frequent use. It stays put while still being easy to remove when needed. The build quality is excellent, just like you’d expect from Lutron products. This bracket has made using my Pico remote so much more convenient. I now have it mounted in a central location where I can easily control my lights without having to search for the remote. It’s great for keeping everything in one place and makes it feel like a permanent part of the room’s lighting system. Overall, if you have a Pico remote, I highly recommend getting this wall plate bracket. It’s a small, affordable accessory that makes a big difference in functionality and aesthetics. Simple, effective, and well worth it!

Very easy to install pico remotes!
I did a "4 gang" with the pico switches, complemented with the Lutron wall plate, installation was nearly dummy proof. I've never done any work like this before and it was so easy! Once the pico remote is connected to this, it's simple to connect it to the Lutron wall mount, and then install the mount to your electric box. Just be sure your wires are tied or capped properly. Though if your not installing over an existing power box, I strongly feel this would work just as well over any wall.

Simple install, no cutting, mounts over Sheetrock, mount next to in wall switch with multi gang plate - LOOKS LIKE WIRED SWITCH
Great product allows Pico to install over-wall using standard wall plate. No need to use wall box and you can mount it next to existing switch using a multi-gang wall plate. Looks like it a wired switch. Installation TIPS: - On the Pico, slide out the plastic insert with the adhesive tape used for adhesive tape mounting - Compare plastic insert with bracket. Identify the wall bracket’s similar slide mount. This will help in identifying cover plate - OVER WALL MOUNTING ONLY - carefully break off the plastic cover plate, allowing a flush mount against the wall (note, cover plate is securely attached) - Don’t install in an electrical wall box without reading instructions (they only recommend when replacing a three way switch). Mounting next to existing wall switch: - Existing switch is mounted in electrical box, and they are usually nailed into studs. Bracket can screw into stud and avoid using annoying drywall anchors Marked down one star due to unclear directions related to removing the ‘plastic cover plate’. This plate must be broken off for OVER-WALL INSTALLS only. It’s not a clear and simple process, and seems easy to break bracket or remove wrong piece.

It is in my opinion a little expensive for just a small piece of plastic, but it does it job great and it is what it takes to mount properly a pico remote.

I found myself with a rework of my basement lighting but needed to rerun my wires to a switch in a odd spot that I didn't want to tear down the plaster walls for just one line at the top of the stairs. This worked perfect to house the new wireless switch I bought. The original homeowner had a flashlight screwed to the wall . So yay no more flashlight and I again have a functional light in the basement now and was super easy to install in the old outlet

I was installing this in a dual gang box as the third switch so it would be right next to the gang box and covered by the triple wall plate. The international instructions which mean they are pictures are not clear to remove the two way backing tape on the back of the remote to reveal a slot and piece of plastic that need to be removed to slide it into the switch holder. The slot is totally hidden by the tape and you wouldn't think there is one Instructions do not show this. Scratched my head for a bit before removing the tape. Check out my pics and save yourself a headache if you are installing it this way. For the price the instructions should be very clear but they are not. In the end totally happy with this product and the switches in general as I have many throughout my house. Amazon let Lutron know about this. Im sorry but i have to knock install stars down for this.

This is way overpriced for what it is, ha, but same price in stores. It's exactly what I needed to put my remote on the wall so I'm happy! You put your remote on this plastic bracket and then put a wallplate over it. Looks fantastic!
