The Best of Both Worlds (Hard and Soft Carrier-wise Anyway)
I could not be happier with this carrier. I live in a teeny tiny apartment with nowhere to store a hard cat carrier, but I was very worried that a soft sided one would be too easily destroyed by my fluffy nutball. I liked that this carrier had less mesh and seemed better structured than a lot of soft sided carrier's that I looked at. When I ordered it I was still worried that it wouldn't be super durable, but boy was I wrong. The mesh isn't a soft fabric, it's more like a plasticky rubber coated net that has taken on several epic claw attacks (kitten claws anyway) and came away completely unscathed. Impressive. There's also a a sheet of thicker plastic that runs between the outer and inner layers of the carrier on all sides, including the bottom, so it's nicely structured and gives your kitty the feeling that they have a safe little territory. There's plenty of room for a smaller cat to stand, turn around, and shift from the front to the back (which is like a little safe haven as the mesh stops halfway to the back of the carrier). It's also nice that even though the carrier can hold it's shape, it still unzips to fold away flat. Yay for saving space! The added shoulder strap also makes maneuvering so much easier, as both your hands can be free, if needed. My only complaint is that it is definitely on the small side (it's meant to be airline compliant, I know) and I worry my little one will outgrow it within a year. But if you have a petite cat or dog and you're looking for the middle ground between a hard and soft carrier, this might just be the one.

Worked great on Southwest flight. Well made. Recommended
Used on a Southwest airlines trip from SLC to LAX. No problems checking in.The carrier is well made, and just big enough for my 8 week old Labrador puppy to fit, but small enough to satisfy the Southwest gate agents. I think this is the last flight the puppy will fit in the carrier. The floor of the carrier did not buckle with my 12 lb puppy inside, and I carried it through the airport using the shoulder strap.Either end of the carrier can be unzipped to open. I wish it allowed both ends to be unzipped, but that would complicate the zipper placement (my puppy had a hard time turning around). I had him enter through the solid panel side so he could see out the mesh side, but then when placed under the seat so he could see me I couldn't pet and reassure him. The carrier unzips completely, lays flat, and is easy to clean if necessary (one of us had an accident after landing and needed to clean the carrier).I spent several hours training my puppy to go inside the day before based on a You Tube video. I threw kibble repeatedly into the carrier and my puppy was entering eagerly in no time. The carrier has a small velcro patch on the bottom which is a blessing and a curse. It held the carrier in place while my 8 week old Labrador napped against it in the airport, but made it difficult to slide under the seat.Definitely recommended. A picture of the carrier under my seat is included.

Clever design, decent looks, great price point, E-Z clean
Worked very well for a 10 pound cat and really just look like a shoulder tote to the casual observer. When I pushed it under the seat in front of me on the plane, the frame, which normally supports a roughly triangular or peaked cross-section, intentionally collapsed a bit and created a square profile so that The carrier fit under the seat, and the cat still had room to sleep comfortably. When I pulled it back out from under the seat, The frame popped back up and assumed its roughly triangular shape. The only minor criticism I have is fitting the cat when there are only two long zippers is a bit tough. On the other hand, kitty barfed in it on a recent car trip, and my teenage son remarked that the fact you could unzip and open the case up flat and easily rinse it out in the sink was a lifesaver. Can't say how it will hold up over time, but it certainly worked well the first two trips, and my goodness, it's certainly value for the money. Recommended for a very small dog and small to normal sized cats; a very oversized cat would be a bit cramped.

Didn’t keep my cat in but worked great for cross country driving!
Bought this for moving out of state. I don’t recommend this carrier if you have a cat with a fierce determination to get out of it. I’ve tried it a couple ways, using locks and hooks to keep the zipper tabs together but my cat kept weaseling her way out! I’d leave the room and come back two mins later & she would be out. It’s not necessarily the product since it kept my boy cats (who are okay with staying where they are put) in. However this was really great for traveling thanks to the strap and hooks it comes with! I essentially used my car seatbelt through the top loop and used the strap to hook it onto my girl cat’s harness. This gave her the perfect amount of room to be out of the carrier and sit normally in the car without giving her too much free range that could put in danger while driving. It didn’t hold its shape and she ended up sitting on it, but again, it worked out as a spot for her to sit comfortably. The material is sturdy and didn’t get too dirty so that was nice as well. Good for small to medium cat. I have another large cat and it was a little too small for him. All in all, a good product and a good buy with multiple uses depending on your cat and what you’re doing with it. Hence 4 stars!

Easy to wash
I have two outdoor cats that are not easy to get to the vet. One gets so upset when I put him in a carrier that he inevitably does his business in the carrier on the way. I had to throw out the last carrier. This time, the nice young woman at my vet's cleaned him and his carrier up for me to take him home, and she suggested I throw the whole thing in the washing machine to get it really clean. I was skeptical, but I unzipped the carrier completely and did what she suggested. It came out of the wash cycle looking good as new. I hung it up to dry. Also, it was easy for me to get the cat into the carrier and easy to carry. My twelve-pound cat had plenty of room in it. He even climbed back into it to hide out when we heard a dog barking in the next cubicle while waiting for the vet.
