365 by Whole Foods Market, Soup Cream Of Mushroom Condensed Soup Organic, 11 Ounce

It seems that Whole Foods stopped making their fresh Cream of Mushroom soup in the plastic container (24 oz) and replaced it with this condensed, boxed version. In theory, I’m fine with that type of change, but this soup is awful. As others have said, it has a gelatinous texture that does not improve with the additional water, and the flavor is totally bland. It doesn’t taste like mushrooms or cream to me. My kid and I both loved the other one, but I threw away almost the whole container of this because neither of us will eat it. (I pretty much never throw away food as I don’t like waste, but I just couldn’t stomach this.) Really disappointed in this change. Please bring the other one back, Whole Foods.

Great taste however watery

Rather bland. More cream than mushroom flavor. Might be okay if you add your own sauteed mushrooms but that defeats this soup's purpose of convenience.

Nice soup, like it not being in a can. Reasonably priced. Will purchase again.

Does not taste good and weird consistency.

I used this in a family recipe (not as a soup, but with ground beef as a sauce). It worked great.

This soup was a gooey mess with a strange flavor and consistency. There were probably 10-15 pieces of mushrooms in the whole packet. My husband had to ask me what kind of soup it was!! The container is ridiculous (over designed in the name of “green”) and hard to get the contents out. I would never recommend this soup and will never buy it again.

This soup should have a hazard label on it. I had a horrible headache after eating it and so checked the contents and saw that simply outrageous amount of salt. This should not be on the shelf! Taste was well, salty! It is quite goopy as well if that even matters.
