DADO is a junction made of 18 threaded holes (3/8), 3 tubes (3") with both female 3/8 threading and male 5/8 attachments. So far so good!
Haven't had a chance to use in "real" world settings but have hung two EL500 monolights and it seemed pretty stable (with some help, not fully trusting it to hold both with just one attachment point). Very robust and sturdy! Wish it was a little cheaper but hopefully that's a sign of quality!

Multiple angles
I use this product with my Manfrotto Magic Arm. Gives me multiple shooting angles and options. Works great with the Manfrotto Super Clamp as well. With those two products I have multiple mounting options for my gopro and camcorder. I use this product to film son's hockey, soccer games and my excursion on my mountain bike. Only issue so far is once the rods are screwed together virtual impossible to unscrew by hand. This process requires tools.

Expensive but quality
This order was to add to my existing Manfrotto Dado kit. So no surprises and fully intend to get more as funds allow. It is very expensive and the Amazon listing DOES NOT SHOW THAT THE PRICE IS WITHOUT VAT. They will add an HMRC 'deposit' during the purchase process.Be aware that the leaflet with the product states that the spanner area on the bars is 5/8". It is NOT, it is 11/18". The connectine nuts are as described at 1/2". The engineering quality is excellent.
