❤️ IKEA products
The nearest ikea store to me is nearly three hours away. The gas alone would have made this salad spinner cost way more than I wanted to spend on one. This is a great price for this product as it is very sturdy and reliable. The handle is a spin handle rather than a push button one, which is great because those push button ones wear out and strip over time. This salad spinner can get pretty fast if your even mildly coordinated. Very easy to operate and clean.Shipped brand new in shrink wrap.

Works great and the price is right
I was looking at a more expensive salad spinner with the pumping action rather than spinning action on top but my partner, who makes most of the salads, insisted that design always breaks and he preferred this design. I've always liked Ikea products for their simplicity of design and function and the price was significantly less than the pumping action one, so decided to order this one.My partner really likes the design of this salad spinner. He showed me how there is space between the inside basket where you put the greens and the bottom of the spinner bowl so there's a place for the water to go after spinning, rather than having the greens sitting in water. He also said it spins easily. The only complaint he had (which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5) was that it was smaller than we would have liked. It would be nice if the seller would say how many cups the basket inside holds and if they offered 2 sizes.

Ikea Tokig Salad and Handwash Spinner
You might not know this...I bought this Ikea Tokig salad spinner to spin dry short hair wigs in. And it works beautifully. Have to tuck the hairs in the wig cap, yet the spinning gets quite a bit of the water out so there is no dripping when the wig is removed. I put one short hair wig in one way, spun it, and removed the lid and dumped the captured water, and then replaced the wig in a different way, and spun again. The second time has less resistance. Then I take the wig out of the basket, and it is damp but not dripping, and ready to fluff. Dumped the water, took apart the spinner and basket and lid so they can dry.I will use it for my Buffs and scarves, too. No twisting or rolling up in towels, which also have to be dried. I should have bought the deal with 2 for price of 1 and a half, but I wasn't sure it would work. It does, and I'd buy the deal for two because, well, one would be great for salad, too!

simple and effective
This simple to use and easy to clean little gadget is a winner. will hold one head of ice berg lettuce or 2 to 3 bunches of romaine lettuce. the simple spin handle mechanism makes it easy to operate and difficult to break. This is a winner both with price and quality. it will also be nice to use with berries and grapes.

Wouldn't spin, awkward to use.
I have one of these I received years ago. It is awesome and cost $2.99. When I found this I bought it for a friend. It was overpriced and wouldn't work. This is an overpriced and ill made copy.

A great deal
I bought this almost a year ago, and use it pretty much every day. It still works as well as the day I bought it. I think I paid $5 for it. You can't beat that! It's large enough to spin salad for several people, easy to clean, works like a charm, and is insanely cheap. It's not fancy, but it does what it needs to do for a fraction of the cost of other salad spinners. Very pleased with this.

Who knew?
Who knew holes in the bottom bowl would be so important? I had an ancient blue salad spinner that finally gave up the ghost after 10+ years of service, so it was time to replace it.This had good customer ratings (I admit I'm beginning to put less importance on these, because it seems like more and more people must be being paid to write good reviews), the price was right and it wasn't huge, seemed perfect for my small kitchen. The biggest design flaw is that the outer clear bowl has no drainage holes, so for example when washing lettuce from the garden I have to stop, take it all apart, pour out the accumulated water, reassemble, spin again.....then repeat that process sometimes 4 or 5 times to get the lettuce as dry as I desire. It's cumbersome to do all that.If I had know that in advance I would have looked closer at the designs and purchased one with better drainage. Now, I'm not saying it doesn't work.....it just take a whole lot more work than it should be.
