I will buy this again and again
I have normal skin. And I always thought that I don't need any extra effort to take care of my skin. This theory of mine was debunked once I started to get fine lines after my 30th birthday. Somebody suggested me to use retinol. I did a lot of research on how retinol works. And came to the conclusion that retinol actually helps to fight skin problems like wrinkled skin, acne, acne marks, and dull and uneven skin. Technically, it helps to unclog the skin pores, increase collagen production, exfoliates old layer of skin, and makes it a fresher and plump appearence. ********** True Skin Retinol This is a perfect retinol if you are using retinol for the first time. You can also get product called "retinoid" which is more concentrated than retinol. Dermatologist recommends to use" retinol" not "retinoid" [ again if you are just the beginner]. ********** RESULTS Believe me this starts to work right after the night you apply but it might take several weeks to see an improvement in the looks and feel of your skin. This is my fifth week of using this product. I can already see and feel the differences in my skin texture. The pores are so tight. Skin is getting softer and bright. People around me have started to pass good comments on my skin appearance. I regret that I did not use this product in my 20's. Why nobody told me how important is retinol for our skin? ******** Again, dont expect to see the results over the night. This is slow process. At least wait for 3 weeks to see the improvement. ******* In the beginning, my skin looked worst after applying retinol, it was dry and flaky. I was worried and almost decided to quit. But again, I did some research and found out that it is normal. It takes some time for your skin to get adjusted. Once it gets adjusted you will be on the wheels of perfect skin. 1) How frequently I used it? Every other night after cleansing 2) How much? Apply a pea size, rub it gently all over your face and neck 3) Can I mix it with other products? Don't mix it with Vitamin C. You can mix it with hyaluronic acid and niacinamide. But True Skin Retinol has both of these good stuff. 4) What should I apply after using this? Strictly apply good amount of moisturizer after retinol Just don't wait and go for it. I will update here if I see any changes.

Gentle and effective — already seeing a difference!
I’ve only been using this retinol serum for a few days and I can already notice my skin looking smoother and more refreshed. It feels gentle, absorbs well, and leaves my face hydrated. Very impressed so far!

Good serum! Helped with my uneven skin tone!
At first I wanted to buy a hyaluronic serum, but then I saw the Retinol 2.5% serum and decided to give it a shot! I have to say the first few days I felt like nothing changed. I was a bit diasspointed and thought I might've made a mistake, but I kept on using it because I bought it already. And then about a week or so later, I realized my (facial) skin looked really good! and I was like "omg...my skin looks really good!" I have old acne scars and bad uneven skin tone and after continuing using this product I feel like my skin has improved! Ofcourse my scars aren't "gone" but it looks smoother. But my uneven skin tone definitely got more even! It's the first time, I saw improvment on my uneven skin tone! :) Now, when I skip a night (of not using the serum) I feel like my skin is "thirsty" LOL like it didn't get all the things it needed throughout the night. Anyway, it's a good serum to have and I will buy it again!

Gentle
This is a good retinol serum for those new to retinol. It is gentle, lightweight and non-irritating. Only time will tell how effective it is.

Great for acne and anti-aging
Helpful for acne and blackhead control as well as oil control. I am almost 40 and have been using many types of retinol, but this one is my favorite.

BEST? (the "R" is for relative)
I have, to date, tried four different Retinol serums (usually containing hyaluronic acid). Each of these has been in a similar price range and none of them qualifies as high-end pricing. From what I can tell each of them is as effective as the other and none of them produces "miracle elixir" results. Like most maintenance products they are only truly effective through consistent long-term use. Seeing that I have found each of the brands I have tried to be equally effective I believe it is fair to say that this brand of Retinol serum is acceptable. However, this 1 oz. bottle is one of the higher priced brands I have tried and the bottle was almost half empty when I received it. It is also perfumed and thicker than other versions and therefore harder to measure effectively (one drop is almost sufficient but two drops is too much). When you reach the bottom of the bottle, like with most of the other brands I have tried, it is impossible to get the last quarter inch of product out of the bottle using the dropper. The syringe is not long enough or flexible enough. What I have been doing is either adding a few drops of water or a few drops of Vitamin C serum to liquefy the balance so it can be shaken out onto your finger. Although use of water will obviously dilute the serum it at least allows you to use all of the product, which is a compromise I am willing to make. As recommended by most Retinol serum brands, and vice versa, I have been applying Vitamin C serum after using it. However I am not convinced that use of both products is really necessary, i.e., Retinol serum combined with a Vitamin C serum. The only sources I see strongly promoting the advantage of using both are the sources that are selling both. As someone commented in response to my initial post (which I have modified since I wish to be accurate), Retinol is not hyaluronic acid. However many Retinol products contain hyaluronic acid which is what caused my confusion. "Skin care products with hyaluronic acid are most frequently used to treat wrinkled skin although they don't replace anything the body has naturally lost. These are very effective moisturizers." Retinol is made from vitamin A, and it's in many non-prescription skin care products. Retinol's stronger counterpart is tretinoin, which is the active ingredient in Retin-A and Renova, available by prescription only. If your skin is too sensitive to use Retin-A, Retinol is an alternative, although the effects are less impressive. Retinol may improve mottled pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, skin texture, and skin tone and color." (Both quotes excerpted from WebMD.) "Retinol is photosensitive and should only be worn at night. Never go outside or into the sunlight with it on; this could cause adverse effects." (Huffington Post quote) (Using a sunscreen is strongly recommended by many sources because retinoid products cause increased photosensitivity.) Having researched this a bit more I feel certain that I can stop using Retinol serums altogether since my dermatologist prescribes a stronger product for evening use. I will ask him about this the next time I see him, though. He already advocates use of a Vitamin C serum but has never commented on the benefits of using it in combination with a Retinol product. However, since Retinol is photosensitive I believe eliminating it would be okay and probably to my benefit since sunscreens wear off after a while and need to be reapplied. If he advises on this subject in any way I believe might be helpful to others I will add it to my post.

Absolutely Amazing Products that REALLY Work!
I am 63 and although I don’t have a lot of wrinkles (thanks to the excessively oily skin that gave me nothing but problems most of my life), I am struggling with deep, dark circles under my eyes, dark sun spots, and milia popping up on my forehead, chin, and around my eyes and nose. I have tried everything to combat these problems, but nothing has helped. I was ready to give up when when I saw this product and read all of the positive reviews. I decided to try the Vitamin C tserum and the Daily Cleanser. When 2 weeks went by without much improvement in my skin, I was disappointed, but kept at my routine. At week 4, I couldn’t believe the difference in my skin-it was very soft and smooth, the number of milia spots had lessened significantly, the sun spots were much lighter, but the circles under my eyes were still present. (I have since discovered that this could more of a heredity problem than a skin problem.) So, all in all, I was so happy with the results, I added several more TruSkin products to my daily routine: their basic moisturizer, their retinol moisturizer, their spray toner, and this wrinkle serum. I’ve been using these products for about 3 months now, and my skin has never looked or felt better! The only problem I have is the cleanser causes my eyes to burn, but that is a small price to pay for the amazing benefits of these tremendous products! I really wish they carried make-up!

Are you in the 1%er Club?
I called myself the "1%er" because every time I tried a new product, I was always the 1 out of 100 ("99% of women reported younger looking skin") that didn't see any noticeable differences. How can 96, 98, or even 99 out of 100 woman always see “younger looking skin” or a “noticeable difference in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles?” Were the testimonials real? Why am I always the one that doesn’t? I’ve tried drugstore variety products, and the more the expensive products. I’ve listened to the pitch women on TV (that, by the way, were naturally blessed with beautiful skin, and/or have the resources for plastic surgeons, dermatologists at their beck and call, and also in home salon care.) Did I try some? Yup. Did they do anything more than empty my wallet? Nope. I ran across TruSkin on the Amazon site. I went right to the reviews, and I was impressed with what I read. I always try to review the products that I buy, not only for the sellers benefit (be it good – or not so good) but for other folks that take the time to also write them, because I know, like me, they depend on the experiences of others to help them make their buying decisions. Word of mouth, if you will, is the most helpful to me. So, the product. I tried Retinol 2.5% E & Hyaluronic Acid serum. I crossed my fingers when it arrived, always hoping that this will be the one works. Well, guess what? I have to say that I do see improvement. My skin is brighter, and the wrinkles don't look as bad. I'm in my 50's; I've suffered from acne my entire life so between that and wrinkles it's rather depressing! I’ve been using now for a few weeks, and the fine lines, and even deeper wrinkles look a lot better! My skin tone has improved. I only wish that I would have taken before and after pictures. This is the first time that I have ever written a review for an anti-aging product because I really thought it was me, I was that one person that nothing worked for. I use it at bedtime, and then again as soon as I get out the shower in the morning. I like it enough that I am on Amazon right now getting ready to try another product, BEST Eye Gel for Wrinkles, Fine Lines…” to add to my routine, as soon as I finish this review. Last, and so very important, is the customer service factor. I received an email from the seller that included a pamphlet on how to use the product. And while it did show their other products, which I appreciated, there was no hard selling asking to buy anything– it was a sincere interest in how I liked the product, what I didn’t like, etc. That to me is real customer service, and one of the reasons that will keep me as a customer. A former 1%er!!
