Pancakes to Parathas: Breakfast Around the World Hardcover – Picture Book, February 5, 2019

A very fun creative book to share with my little ones.

I bought this book for my class when we were covering different cultures from around the world. The children loved looking at all of the different food illustrations and things that some of the children see at home. I also enjoyed reading about the different foods.

Totally awesome book for littles illustrating the complete differences in breakfasts world wide and showing the wonder of variety. Well done. Food diversity, cultural diversity meet and generate great discussion with our 4 year old.

Gift for my niece's

This book uses a fun, short rhyme to introduce each country’s popular or unique breakfast items (I know not everyone eats what it said for USA, and therefore unsure if some other countries have other popular breakfast possibilities). Each country also has a small paragraph explaining the breakfast items in more detail. I enjoyed the illustrations and how they showed each country and their breakfast culture. I could see this being used as part of a lesson to teach children about different foods and traditions from around the world. Overall, a very good book.

Had the pleasure of reading it in galleys. A wonderful international look at how kids start their day with bright, engaging art and an informative and fun narrative. It’s a treat about what we eat!!
