The Railfan Chronicles, Grand Trunk Western Railroad, Book 3, Flint Subdivision Towns: 1975 to 1992, Port Huron, Flint, Durand and Battle Creek Paperback – June 25, 2014

Although the book is short and is quick to read, the author is able to get to the point quickly and gives the reader a lot of interesting information in a short amount of time. The photos, although heavy on locomotives, does provide a reasonable amount of photos of trains. By and large, the book's in this series are aimed at the rail enthusiast.

It can be hard to find information on regional lines like the GTW. Babyish captures a great deal of fine detail that is missing from more general works. Keep in mind that his books cover a fairly limited time span, so don’t expect to see details from earlier and later eras. There are lots of images of familiar places for us locals and some stuff I didn’t know was there.
