Best of Chris Botti: Trumpet Artist Transcriptions

I've been following Chris Botti for a few years now. His original PBS special 'with Orchestra & Special Guests' inspired me to start playing again. To this point, it's been mostly by ear and watching the DVDs closely. I got this book at the same time as the new concert DVD; plenty of motivation there. I found the book detailed enough to get me started down the same path I'd already started on, confirming my tones and notes. It's a great addition to understanding the little half notes you hear so often on his tracks, and will soon get you playing with the same page with such a great trumpet player! -Mark

Good to use for practice, but not really performance material since it had no accompaniment part.

I ordered this late Friday night, and it was in my mailbox Monday afternoon. I couldn't believe the service. (The book is great and fun to play, but I'm still astonished by the incredibly fast service.)

This is my go to music when I want something relaxing but won't put me to sleep. I feel like I become one with his music. Sometimes the trumpet can sound too high pitched and grate on my nerves, not so here. Chris Botti is a superb trumpet player.

With a few more transcriptions I would give it 5 starsotherwise a great book to follow the solo's and play.

This is a great book with some great songs from BOTTI's albums. It is a really nice break to move from technical studies to playing along with Chris Botti. Would recommend this book for intermediate/advance players.

Chris Botti is an extremely talented trumpet player. Studying the transcriptions gives insight to his artistry. If you love his music you will certainly love playing along with him using these transcribes tunes.
