Celestial Essentials Dot Matrix Notebook

Wow! I’m impressed. This journal is precisely what I was looking for! Quality & affordable. The foiled embossing on it is on the entire outside of the journal. I’ve seen a lot of foil embossed things that are only done on one side. The paper is a nice thickness. No bleed through (Pilot G2 & Jelly Roller pens). The gold metal pen holder clip is from Erin Condren. Which I also recommend. I’ve already purchased a bookmark from this same company & will be buying a lined journal on payday.

Before I made this purchase, I read the reviews and a couple made me hesitant but I’m glad I stuck with it.The embossed pattern on the cover with the subtle metallic gold is nothing short of majestic. Plus I love the old school binding. The design alone makes this purchase-worthy.I read someone had issues with the paper being slick and smearing. The paper is a bit slick but my pen test page shows no sign of ghosting and everything I’ve tried writes beautifully on it. Some heavier inks do need adequate time to dry, as with any other paper, to avoid smearing.I also read the dots were too dark but I’ve had journals with darker. I actually find that they’re the perfect tone. Not too dark, not too light.At the end of the day, it’s a notebook filled with dot grid pages. It serves its purpose and it’s just straight up magical.

I bought this journal for my daughter. She wanted it and just loves it.

I’d really suggest getting a journal from here or something, I love the designs they have and the books hold up as far as quality goes. I have a cherry trees journal from this brand too. The insides of this one also has a small folder pocket, convenient for loose paper and such.

This journal is gorgeous! I purchased it for bullet journaling and so far I’ve had no issue with my markers or pens bleeding through. I saw another reviewer received a lined journal but mine is the correct dot matrix. I’m new to journaling so all I can really say is I like that it lays open easily for writing on pages rather than snapping shut and the pages have stood up to my pens and markers. It’s very sturdy and so far shows no damage from being crammed into my bag and jostled around all day. Overall, I would repurchase based on the low price but high quality.

Loving this notebook for meetings. The dot matrix is just right, not too dark, nor too light. Page quality is great- I use all colors of pens & fine tipped markers when info-graphing with no bleed through or smudging. Perfect size to stack exactly with my planner/calendar & tablet & fits very well in my purse for meetings - making it where I don’t have to have clunky notebooks. And it’s super pretty too.Always a fan and consistent user ofPeter Pauper paper products (say that five times fast! 😂)

This was my first bullet journal type notebook and overall I'm very happy with it for the price.Design:* I love the cover. It's a nice design without looking childish.* Elastic rubber band closure is helpful and has held up well. So has the bookmark. Entire book has held up* The book lays mostly flat when used which is really nice and makes it easy to continue spreads across two pages.* No page numbers, which I knew when buying, but would have been nice to have. Just went through and made my own, so not a big deal.* No index, which I didn't want.* The pocket in the back was useful for holding my mini ruler and held up well as well.Paper Quality:* I'm not sure what gsm the paper is, but it held up reasonably well.* The paper feels smooth when writing on it* It's a nice ivory, not too yellow or too bright white.* There is some ghosting with certain types of pens and markers- trying to color in a picture with papermate flair pens, tombow markers, or sharpies were the worst offenders. That's to be expected to an extent though, especially the sharpies. The picture I attached is the backpage of a monthly spread where I used water-based fine ink pens. The parts where the ghosting is visible was where I overlapped the pens to color in something or bolden the monthly lines. The actual writing has 0 showthrough.* I was able to do some art with Faber-Castell's gelatos and just not use water. Did not try any watercolor.* Erasing sometimes crinkled the paper easily which was minor but sometimes annoying* I was able to glue things in the notebook and have it hold upGreat first notebook and would serve most people very well. I've discovered I want something to use as more of a bullet-art journal though, so that's the only place where my complaints come from but this would work well for most general usage!

This book is just beautiful. I ordered it because I fell in love and I'm so glad I did. I use a different book for my bullet journal (scribbles that matter) but I'm currently doing The Artist's Way and I like having a separate book just for that. Isn't this a perfect book for your Morning Pages and other tasks? My only complaint is that there's no pen loop. I love the feel of the cover, the way the pages feel when I write on them (my preferred pen for the last several years has been the G2 0.38 and it works just fine on these pages, not too scratchy). The elastic to hold the pages closed is tight enough...a lot of brands of blank books have loose floppy elastics. I really love this book and even though it's not good for a bullet journal imo (top reason is that I hate numbering my own pages!), it's great for regular journaling for for The Artist's Way.

La libreta se ve muy muy linda, tiene muchas páginas sin ocupar mucho espacio, el punteado es visible en todas las páginas, la pasta es de buena calidad, en lo personal no tuve problema alguno de que se dañara y las hojas nunca se me transparentaron.

I wanted to buy a beautiful and inspiring bullet journal to keep track of my writing and editing process. This is one of the best out there, the quality of paper is great and the feeling of having the notebook in your hands is wonderful. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
