Alpine S-W12D4 12" Car Subwoofer S-Series 4-ohm Voice Coils

Ive never liked shallow mount subs but alpine got it right with the type s. NOT the loudest but with the limited space this thing gets me nice deep bass with a small underseat sealed box. The price is awesome too for a quality product.

Good punch and sound quality without breaking the bank. It only got better after it broke in. Powered by JL Audio JD500 amp, 600 watts@2 ohms in a 1.7 cu.ft box retuned around 33Hz. Just at RMS power for now. Any of negative reviews that said it blew up right away apparently didn't know that both speakers and subwoofers have a break in period but I digress. The only negative is I should of bought 2 and run a pair for even more thump.

Ithis is the 2nd time in years I'm buying this Alpine 12inch woofer,is bc in my other car i been using it for more than 7 years and I decided to get now for my little hatchback, I hooked it up with a 2000W peak Skar amp and it's a killer sound with no distortion and nice very low bass sound

Alpine makes some of the absolute best speakers on the planet. The Type S and Type R. Simply stand out the most. This subwoofer hits very hard as long as you have it in a box that's not too small and it prefers to be in. An airtight box, not a ported one. I have paired this up with an Alpine 500D Mono amp and it hits so hard. I had to turn the amp down to 60%. Very good quality for the money. Worth every penny.

This was my first first subwoofer I had in my car. Good entry level quality Subwoofer. If you want something that’s made my a well known brand that will sound good. These are a great buy and intro to car audio.

Ok...it has two 4 ohm coils in it...wire them in parallel and you have a 2 ohm 12" speaker that will take 500-600 W RMS...its a good sub and does a great job... If you want to run two of these at 2 Ohm, you need the "D2" version 12" sub, which has two 2 Ohm coils in it...wire it in parallel and then wire the other speaker to it in parallel...so you get {1/2+1/2} = 1ohm, and 1 ohm +1 ohm =2 ohm for the pair.

Highly recommended. Fits perfectly in shallow mount box under rear seat. Amazing sound quality and volume in small sealed enclosure. Great sound quality. Had other high quality subs and exceeds expectations.

The best part of this entire situation was the seller themselves. Creative audio has excellent customer service and absolutely crushed it when I needed help. Service always out trumps everything. I highly recommend that you buy all of your car audio needs from creative audio
