The Epidemiology of Genetic Error
I'm finding Nasca and Pastide's tome on the Epidemiology of Cancer of great help to me in my own preparation of a monograph on the 'Origins of Cancer.' The authors meticulously follow the epidemiology of a killer with special emphasis on heredity; tobacco; alcohol; radiation; infectious; exogenous; dietary; hormonal and multifactorial causes.I'm grateful that the authors don't fall into the all-too-familiar trap of trying to identify underlying mutagens as the cause of most human cancers. Mutagenic factors are significant in some cases but I am of the opinion that physical, chronic irritative/inflammatory and/or 'benign' cellular proliferations are at the root of most cancers.

Good overview
Good overview of cancer epidemiology. Not very technical but provides a good starting point for epidemiologists looking to branch into this field.

Good information, poor copy editing
There's a lot of useful information, but I couldn't help being distracted by the relatively frequent grammatical and spelling errors.
