Volume 28 contains the 13'02" video from al-Qaeda's as-Sahab Institute for Media Production featuring Osama bin Laden reading a poem by Mahfouz bin al-Walid (Abu Hafs al-Mauritani) entitled, "Thoughts Over al-Aqsa Intifadah". The video was made at some point after the 12 Oct. 2000 attack on the USS Cole but before 9-11. As-Sahab rereleased the video on 29 Apr. 2006. The "Know Thy Enemy" series is specifically designed to give professionals across the academic to private security to government spectrum access to the highest possible quality of unedited versions of terrorist videos in a format useable by analysts to help achieve better clarity on the activities of such groups and consequently improve efforts to prevent attacks. IntelCenter is the primary supplier of terrorist video material to law enforcement, military and intelligence communities in the US and other countries around the world. IntelCenter’s foremost responsibility is in providing counterterrorism intelligence support to government agencies. However, when IntelCenter has materials that are not restricted and can be released to a broader community it does so in order to help support researchers, academics, journalists, security officials and others who have a legitimate need for professional level material to understand the threat but do not have access to government resources. As a result IntelCenter is a significant supplier of terrorist video material to CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, AP, Reuters, AFP, Fox News, MSNBC, France24, the Washington Post, New York Times and countless other media outlets around the world.
