Works with a fox body mustang tach
Works perfect to use the factory tach in my 83 mustang with an Msd 6al. Simple to hook up.

Hood tach
So I I stalled the msd distributor no issues and the msd 6al box. Attempting to install this signal adapter so my dakota digital dash would work along with my hood tach on a 68 gto. It needs a 12v square signal wave to work. This is supposed to solve that issue... I'm having issues getting a signal ti the dash and the hood tach. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I'm sure its probably user error as everything else related works.

Works perfect
Purchased this to work with my 1990 VW corrado. I wanted to retain the stock tach, and have been able to thanks to this!I will make this a thorough review as I am very impressed with it. The tach signal is a square signal. Despite this, the tach has never been so crisp. The stock vw tachometer driver is a bit jerky/jumpy.I am running Megasquirt pro-3 on my swap, and wired in my tach wire from the ecu out to the in (white wire) and the violet out to the stock tach wire. One more for power (red) and ground (black)Its literally that easy! I will be buying one for my next swap I do, as it will be getting standalone also.

Fixed my factory tach issue on a '75 Celica
Fixed my issues with the tach moving very slowly above 5500 RPM on a '75 Toyota Celica with an MSD 6AL-2 Programmable box. Factory tach was accurate up to around 5500 RPM, and then it would kind of barely respond/move after that point. After installing this the tach is accurate up to 7500 RPM and works great.
