Mario Kart: Super Circuit

As a fan of the Mario Kart series, I was anxious to finally pick up and play Super Circuit years after it's release. I've had a ton of fun on Mario Kart Wii and its always interesting for me to go back in the past a little bit to see how the games have progressed. First off, Super Circuit is fun. It's a perfect portable game. The tracks are not so long as to take up too much time, yet they are long enough to not feel too cheap and tacked on for the sake of putting a Mario Kart game out. There is a nice selection of tracks to start the game off that each require it's own type of skill to master. Sure, as always, there is a track or two that sometimes feels unnecessarily frustrating, but the fun you have on the other tracks more than make up for it. Once you get the hang of sliding around corners, using the jump button to control those turns and coming out of them with a nice little boost to shoot you ahead of your opponents, you'll be having all kinds of great fun. There are a few different modes to choose from. You can of course go for the classic Grand Prix mode with 50, 100, or 150ccs and test your mettle against your computer foes (I hate Peach). There is the Time Trial mode in which you can learn to master the tracks with no fear of being rear ended with a dreaded red turtle shell at the finish line, and then there is the Quick Run, in which you can simply load up any track you want and race against the CPU without worrying about doing an entire Cup. Unfortunately, you need another person with a Gameboy Advance and a connector cable to play Multiplayer and since I don't have that option, I can't comment on it. All I know is that I've heard that it is better if the other person were to have their own Super Circuit cart as well. You can play with only one game and a connector cable if you wish, but it will limit your character selection. Super Circuit also harkens the return of the coins from Super Mario Kart, which means that the outcome of the race will rely on skill as much as it does luck. Whereas the newest incarnations of the Mario Kart franchise usually require an big chunk of luck (you tend to get punished for being good), you will have to collect as many coins as you can to help your speed and to keep you from spinning out each time you get hit, which will happen when you run out of coins. Collecting coins also brings up another cool thing about the game; if you collect 100 coins in each cup after getting gold in it, it will unlock that cup from the original Super Mario Kart. So, when all is said and done, you have the potential for unlocking another five cups for a grand total of 40 tracks to race. Not too shabby for a portable racing game. Honestly, I found this game to be more fun than I expected. It's absolutely perfect for what it's intended for. When you are out and about and have your Gameboy Advance (or DS or 3DS) with you, it's great for playing bite sized chunks at a time. It takes very little time to compete in a cup and be done with it if that is what you wish. On the other hand, there are enough tracks and it is enough fun that you could sit in your living room or on a road trip and play it for hours. I recommend this game heartily for those that are fans of the Kart.

If you're an old school gamer like me and loved Super Mario Kart on the Super Nintendo platform then this is the game for you. Even if you like racing games, this is just one of those games that you MUST play, without a doubt. It's great for all skill levels and age ranges. You have the easy/medium/hard option (50cc, 100cc, 150cc). There are 4 cups you can choose to race from, each having 4 courses. So that's 16 different race tracks to get your wheels on. And even better, when you get really good, choose the 150cc level and race in the Star Cup. If you manage to get first place (which is EXTREMELY hard) you can unlock the Special Cup that has 4 additional tracks to race. The game graphics are excellent. I especially like the race courses where it's raining- it just looks very cool. This is definitely one of my favorite games on Gameboy Advance and I highly recommend it for everyone, kids and adults alike!

I bought this product for my six year old grandson. He absolutely loved it. Since it was used, I was a little hesitant about purchasing it. However, the description said it was like new in the original packaging so I ordered it. When it arrived, it looked brand new to me. You could not tell it was used at all. The packaging was perfect. More importantly, it worked fine. He plays it every day and just loves the game. It's good to know you can rely on the description of a used product. When it says like new....believe it !

Awful. The game itself is great but it came with a dead battery so it doesn’t even save correctly. Its also a reproduction be careful! Make sure to ask them to send photos and verify that it saves and keeps them intact!

All of the classic Super Mario Kart tracks are unlockable if you get gold trophies and collect enough coins on the new tracks. Well, it is either that or a star rating. Basically, this game has 10 cups, 5 new cups and the 5 old cups (unlockable). Overall, it is a great Mario Kart game and use to be highly popular on the game boy advance I believe.

A decent game for the Game Boy Advance, but not up to what I was hoping for, after my experiences with the other Mario Kart games. In my opinion, they should have spent more effort in making the karts drive better, and less on the 'look'. Not a bad game, but there are better ones out there.

The package came fairly quickly after it had come back in stock and was packed well and the game of course works great and is in good condition , used but was looking about as well as it could have , was clearly a pre-loved product , have bought many products from this seller in the past and will probably buy from them again in future , under the odds for anyone who may want to know and the game is quite enjoyable too , timeless fun is Mario kart 😁.

Mein Vorredner haben ja schon ausführlichst darüber Berichtet, welch gelungenes Spiel für den Game Boy Advance es ist. Diesen posetiven Aussagen stimme ich uneingeschränkt zu! ABER VORSICHT! Ich hab hier lieder zuerst eine Fälschung über den Marketplace* erworben gehabt (Siehe Fotos). Diese entarnte sich bei mir zuallererst insofern, dass das Mobul den Spielstand nicht abspeicherte, obwohl es mir angezeigt wurde. Frustrierenderweise, erlebte ich das dann erst, als ich im Urlaub war. Und mit der anschließenden Beweisfindung brauchte ich zu lange um im Anschluss die A-Z Garantie (90 Tage) nutzen zu können. Also mein Tipp für alle anderen die sich solch einen Reinfall nicht leisten können oder wollen: 1. Wartet nicht zu lange mit dem intensiven Test des erhaltenen Moduls 2. Informiert euch im Netz über das Enttarnen von GBA-Modul-Fälschungen (z.B. auf [...] 3. Nutzt - sofern ihr ebenfalls Pech gehabt habt (wie ich oder auch der in diesen Rezensionen vertretenen User "bambisbestfriend") - unverzüglich die A-Z Garantie! *Ich bin mir nicht Sicher ob man hier den Verkäufernamen schreiben draf. PS: Bild1 der Fälschung Modulinnenleben mit div. Teilen von Fremdherstellern; Bild2 der Fälschung mit fehlender Prägung (38) im Logo unter dem "T" vom Wort CIRCUIT sowie zu kleine NINTENDO und CE Zeichen.

Il videogioco, avendolo acquistato dal venditore "Au royaume du jeu", mi è arrivato per posta dalla Francia. In ottime condizioni, è originale e funziona benissimo sul mio Game Boy Advance SP. Quando è arrivato si trovava all'interno di una custodia di plastica protettiva, senza la scatola originale ed il manuale di istruzioni. Un ottimo acquisto per chi ha un Game Boy Advance e adora Mario Kart!
