O'Neill Men's Thermo X Long Sleeve Insulative Top

I've never bought a rash guard or insulative top before, but we just bought a new house with a big pool and it's just too cold outside of the summer months and too expensive to heat. I'm a bigger guy and the XL fit great. It's thick and spongy but not heavy. I had no idea what to expect. It does not constrict any movement. I kind of look cool wearing it, and even gives me a little slimming look, if I do say so myself.I can easily get into a cool pool and at first I feel just a bit of the coldness, but in 15 or 20 seconds, its great! I spend 30 to 60 minutes in the pool after 5PM and it never loses the insulating effect. It's easy to get off and it dries super quick, just letting it hang over the balcony.I'm not sending a picture, because I don't think anyone wants to see that, BUT I for sure recommend this. Saw ones that were TONS more expensive. Don't know how much better those are, but like I said this one works GREAT!!!

I wear this for swimming laps in an outdoor pool. The pool (and the breeze when I get out) is just a little chilly for my liking, so I tried this top. It is an unusual creature: it isn't solid like a wet suit - it is porous and takes up a lot of water. I'm not sure why it insulates without a wet suit, but it does. I guess it just makes a stagnant layer of water against your skin. I'd say it makes the pool feel about 3-4 degrees warmer than it is.

Super lightweight and warm. Dries fast too. Ended up buying them as presents for our swim coaches. They love it too.

Thermo X long sleeve adds dramatic warmth to your existing wetsuit. I could not believe the warmth difference. Don't ware this on a warm day, but when you find your self dreading a cold dawn session this is just the thing to keep you warm.

Thinking of getting another one.

Used this just by itself and it kept me toasty, while all the rest of my family got out quickly. I hate cold water. It was like wearing a sweater on a cool day. Have not used with a wetsuit but have been using it for times where wetsuit would be overkill.

To wear as a cold weather sweater I like it . To wear as a wetsuit undergarment I didn't like it at all . Hard to put on and hard to take off. The material clings to you and adds very little of any warmth. A waste of money for wetsuit warmth.
