Yess it works for the lock trim

Q: What size are the holes used for feeding the lock strip?

The lock strip we used was about 1/4". The whole in the tool is maybe 1/2" but I wouldn't recommend using this tool for anything larger then 1/4" due to the tool being pretty flimsy and hard to do even use at 1/4". I recommend using lots of lubricant like soapy water or window cleaner
