Ok, first off, how cool is it that Amazon prime delivers on Sundays?! It was supposed to come Monday(tomorrow) but arrived today, so that was pretty awesome.Well, in the search bar I looked up otterbox for ipad and narrowed the search down to model(I have the 2018 ipad) well, this one popped up and had great reviews, so i went ahead and purchased it. I didnt even realize until the day after it shipped that it was for the Ipad AIR. I started panicking and thought I was going to have to send it back, wait for a refund, and purchase a brand new one that was the right fit. Well surprisingly, the case fits the newer(2018) Ipad! The only issue(not a big deal) are the volume buttons arent aligned with the case correctly. This DOES NOT affect the Ipad in anyway, shape or form. You can actually flip up the little cover on the side and turn the volume up.(the up button on the case will turn the Ipad down) Everything else is aligned beautifully. The ipad sits perfectly in it. I'm so happy because I am afraid I'll break my Ipad lolThis review was for those looking for a good case for their 2018 Ipad and not wanting to spend almost 100 dollars on one from the website.

These are great. We use them in construction. I've had them come back to the office and the OtterBox is trashed, lenses scratched, corner broken after being dropped. I take the iPad out and they literally look brand new. They last well over a year. The guys are brutal on them.

I have a 2 year old daughter and I’ve tried several cases prior to ordering this one. I must say, this case is excellent! It covers every single aspect of the iPad. The first day I bought it, my daughter spilled yogurt on the screen, luckily the case comes with a screen protector and it was an easy clean! Also it is a peace of mind knowing that all the ports are covered very well! Excellent case!

Not up to otterbox standards. Have otterbox for my iPhone which is unbelievable. Case for the iPad air2 was a complete disappointment. It was fine at the start, but then started to lose its shape. Before long, the outer edges began to get very loose and annoying when handling the iPad. The outer case became so stretched, I had to try to use the "boiling technique" to return it to its original form. Although it was better for a short period of time, the outer case bagan to stretch worse than the first time. I've since given up and now looking for a new case. This one is not worth the money, sorry to say.

OtterBox makes the best cases for anyone serious about protecting iPhones and iPads. This product is no exception. My iPad Air is a few years old, but it’s still in good shape and I’d taken good care of it. I bought this because I was still always worried that the case with a Bluetooth keyboard I never actually used, which was falling apart, but had protected my iPad to that point was sufficient protection. Since I put the OttterBox case on, I’ve felt much better, because this case is extremely well designed. I especially like that the case has a cover for the screen when the iPad isn’t in use. I was always concerned that the screen could crack if something hit my backpack, or if my backpack fell with all of the weight on the iPad. That nagging anxiety is gone. The case also looks great. My iPad still looked pretty new. Now it feels like it’s brand new.

Positivies:- Strong enough to withstand the knocks and bangs dished out by a 5/6-year-old boy. When the separate cover is on, the ipad inside is completely protected on all sides from drops and bangs. I am confident this case with its cover is strong enough to protect my ipad air from a 5-foot drop on a hard marble floor without damage to the ipad (although guarantees--I haven't tried that and would discourage anybody else from trying that just to prove me right or wrong).- Has a tough, transparent screen protector, so you don't need to purchase a separate screen protector film.- The stand is part of the screen cover panel -- stand folds down flat when not in use; when it use, it stands the ipad up either at an angle to watch movies or at a lower angle for typing.- Has rubber covers for all the connectors.Negatives:- Separate cover is a bit difficult to remove for a little boy -- difficult even for an adult. That said, my little 6-year-old has now gotten the hang of it. He pries open one corner first, and that makes the rest of the cover removal easier.- A bit heavy -- but it's a compromise, isn't it? There are lighter covers out there, but none of them are as tough and protective as this heavy-duty, kid-proof cover.- My "Pencil by 53" and my pressure sensitive stylus from Wacom do not work very well with the ipad through the screen protector of this case.

I am clumsy and often drop my electronics. I have used the OtterBox Defender for my phone for a number of years and it has done an excellent job at protecting my phone, so I am sticking with it for my new iPad. I like that it has a sleeker look than the LifeProof case. I'm a klutz, but my iPad isn't accompanying me on adventure sports so LifeProof seemed like overkill. The OtterBox case is sturdy and has protected my iPad very well so far. At home I usually leave the snap-on cover off, but I really like the stand feature and often use it both at home and while traveling. I use the snap on cover when I take the iPad out of the house, which I do regularly for travel and school. The case does make it heavier, but that is the trade off for extra protection. We have a non-Apple brand charger with a conveniently long cord we use on our other iPad, but the OtterBox charger opening is too narrow - I was going to give it 4 stars for that, BUT I believe the case needs to be this way to accommodate the speakers that are now on either side of the charging port on the iPad Air (our other iPad is older and the speaker is on the back and so there are no restrictions around the charging port). So if you have an off-brand lighting cable, be aware that it may not work with this case.

This is a very solid, protective case! You may need to occasionally remove it, as overtime a few specs of dust or the odd hair can creep under the screen protector, but this is a tiny price to pay for top rate protection! The only issue I have discovered is that I could not use a right angled charging lead; It needs to be straight. I seem to get through a lot of leads but not the fault of the case. Highly reccomended!

I purchased this for my husband. We got him the Ipad Air original, not the 2, with 32g and needed this to protect it from our kids. We have an otterbox for our 3 year old Ipad mini and it has kept it alive so far! This works great. The kids have already dumped water on it, dropped it and used the Ipad air with very dirty fingers. It's stayed protected and in perfect condition. It's easier to get on and off then our Ipad mini case, and very easy to clean with some soap and water. I would definitely purchase this again and recommend it. The same case was $79.99 at our Walmart!!! I thought Walmart would have a better price....which is why I love Amazon!

This case has already saved my iPad Air so many times. It is super heavy, though. My wrist actually gets tired after prolonged use without using the stand, but it's worth it for the peace of mind that my iPad isn't going to get damaged easily. I think the only thing I would change is making it non-glare. It really blinds me sometimes when the light hits it just right.

$89.99 and up at other retailers. Everything lines up as it should with my iPad Air 1. Adds a substantial amount of weight, but I figure it's a small sacrifice for the level of protection it provides. The home button is stiff, but I expect that will loosen up with use. My keyboard is a little less sensitive than I'm used to, but it could be due to the extra layer created by my tempered glass screen. I don't know if using a glass screen means I have more or less protection (interference?), but it fits seamlessly with the case, so I'm assuming it's okay to use the two together. No question this case provides an amazing seal, but the downside is that it makes the initial disassembly quite tricky. I was certain I was going to break something trying to remove the bumper from the frame. A YouTube how-to video suggested using a credit card to initiate a separation point, but a card was neither sufficiently thin or strong enough to do the job. I eventually had to reach for a knife just to get the material to budge. I've only ever bought Otterbox for my phones, and it is the only thing standing between me and my klutziness. Despite hundreds of drops on slate and ceramic tile, not to mention several 15 ft flings across concrete, my phones have never sustained any damage. I don't seem to be quite as abusive to the larger devices, so I originally bought a vinyl portfolio case + added tempered glass, but when it began to fray and lose shape after 6 months, I had a choice to keep buying $20 cases, or a permanent Otterbox for 60% below retail. I researched the cheaper ballistic cases, but I lacked confidence in their drop protection claims, plus too many reviewers complained about the same issues - ill-fitting, wavy screens and poorly constructed stands.

The only reason I gave this 4 stars is that once you have this on your iPad, it becomes rather heavy and bulky. You need to decide what is more important - protection for your device or convenience/portability.As I take my iPad back and forth to work on the bus everyday, I love the protection the OtterBox offers. I don't worry about my device being banged around in my backpack, nor of the possibility of my coffees or rain spilling on my device since all ports are conveniently covered.This is definitely one of the best purchases that you could possibly make to protect your device.

There is nothing wrong with the Otter Box other than my iPad doesn't work properly. The corners of the iPad did not respond when I was trying to close things down and the home key had to really be pressed down hard. I bought the cover because my four year old granddaughter used my iPad and l wanted to protect it. Unfortunately if I want to use it, i can't with the cover on it and I can't put the cover on or off myself due to arthritis.

The case is exactly as described both by Amazon and its reviewers alike. I have to agree with some of the feedback regarding the level of difficulty installing the case. After reading all the directions, it still took almost 20 minutes just to get the case opened. I Goggled 'installing an Otter Box for an iPad Air " and found a very helpful video on YouTube that took me through the installation process. I don't really care for the rainbow effect provided by the screen protector, but at the end of the day, once the screen is on, the rainbow disappears. To sum it up,I purchased the Otter Box to protect my iPad and for that reason I am giving this product five stars.

It’s an otterbox! Not a whole more needs to be said. Solid protection for my iPad I have no worries about dropping it or it getting ruined. Always a worth while investment to protect your devices. Easy to go on. I keep all of my smart phones and tablets In otterbox. You will not be disappointed by having one of these cases. Your device will look just as good as the day you unboxed it, mine does 2+ years later.

I had to watch a video on how to open the case.It was very difficult, broke figernails had to use credit card, etc.During the process of opening the case the clear cover got scratched. How I don't know.

Extremely durable, and exactly what I was looking for along those lines, but it is very difficult to open. I had thought the cover might at least become a little easier to open with time and use, but not so much. That said, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a very durable case to keep their iPad safe from drops, bumps and scratches.

Purchased this from Amazon.ca on June 30th, 2016. Price was at least $30 less than anywhere else I could find. I was happy when I got the case. It protects my iPad Air well and I like the protective cover that doubles as a stand. In September one of the plastic tabs broke off the protective cover. Otterbox replaces it free under warranty (for 1 year), however, they charge you shipping (about $5.25 to Canada). The replacement stand I ordered broke after about 6 weeks of use. So I'm paying again to replace the protective cover. I wouldn't by one of these again. The protective case is a poor design that is breaking from the protective cover being taken on an off. I have never dropped this Otterbox case. It's frustrating that I have to pay to replace a poorly designed case. Buy this only if you accept their warranty replacement terms and know that the protective cover/stand will break frequently.

Received quickly! Didn't encounter any problems with fitment as some people indicated. Just followed the instructions and it all snapped together nice and tight!5 years now and still not a single issue. I have taken it apart for cleaning several times and it goes right back together no problem! (Even dropped it a handful of times, no issues!)

I love the otterbox cases for both protecting my iPads and phones. They have saved my products many times and saved me lots of times from breaking my screens.

Just what we were looking for. Protective and slim, but a bit heavy. Also came with a separate iPad stand which we weren't expecting.

At a fraction of the price of the big box stores, this case is exactly what my wife wanted for her ipad. Fits perfectly, very durable. The edges are smoothed and rounded, nothing sharp or pokey! She is very pleased.
