Les Miserables (Penguin Cloth Bound Classics)

One of the greatest monuments of world literature. A must read. This is the reprint of 1982 edition. Translation by Norman Denny is slightly old school. Binding is nice and paper quality is good. .

Remarkable book. Speaks strongly of justice, pain and misery. The story of a man going through 26 (or more) years of his life in torture, and then suddenly transforming to a new man. The book is large. I couldnt complete it, but whenever I wish I take out my favorite part and read on. Better if you watch the movie first, because there is no summary of the story. But, the words are magical.

The product was authentic and delivered on time but the base colour is not as black as shown.

Full version having 1200+ pages.

Old and damaged.

As anyone thinking about buying this book knows, it is an excellent book. But the condition of the book was questionable, definitely not new. As seen in the pics provided, there were some dents, a few pages were dog-eared, the price tags were attached onto the book itself which upon removal left a prominent mark and overall the book feels used. I dont have a problem with reading used books but it should be advertised as such and the price should be charged accordingly.
