Canon PIXMA MP250 Inkjet Photo All-in-one Printer

At less than $40.00 the Canon PIXMA MP250 can't be beat. It's not lightening fast, but for home/student use - who cares? The quality of printing is excellent. For the all-in-one functionality it is a best buy. No, it dosn't include a fax, but with a scanner who needs it. Only negative - the paper handling tray is a little short, resulting in the paper becoming curled if left in the tray for any length of time. It has a larger footprint than older printers, but for a copier it's not huge. The cartridges are about twice as expensive (approx. $14.00) as my previous Canon printer, but they also appear significantly larger. Setup was easy and everything worked the first time. Very satisfied after two months.

Buy ink cartridges for printer before installing. The "new" ink cartridges provided with the product were dried out. I could not use them. Instead, I had to go out and buy new cartridges in order to use the printer I had just set up. This meant that the installation process could not be completed and test pages printed, until I purchased new cartridges. I found this frustrating. I purchased the printer for my 87-year-old dad who was familiar with this printer. I did not want to make my dad learn a new user interface. Printer is currently working great for my dad. My issue with the printer is due to the age of the product in the packaging. I am glad that the seller made this product available. It would be nice if the seller provided new cartridges for the printer because we are paying a lot for this older printer that has sat on the seller's shelves for a few years.

It totally feels like a scam. The ink in this runs dry if you use it or not. We do not use a printer much at all but it's nice to have one when you have that last minute thing you need to print and your running out the door. The problem with this printer is we replace the carts and don't use it for a couple weeks and then when we go to use it again it only has enough ink for 3 pages of black text. WTH! The ink for this thing costs way to much to begin with and then for it to just disappear like that is absurd. I gave this 2 stars simply because of the scanner although we haven't needed to use it so I can't really say for sure how well that even works. I'm being nice and giving it the benefit of the doubt because I hate to leave 1 star reviews.

This is a great little home printer/copier/ scanner for the home. The price was super, the output is excellent and it set up and was easy to use. I do not find it overly noisy at all. It is compact, and looks fine.

I'm amazed at the negative reviews on this printer. We've had this printer for over 7 months now and it has been great. Good quality output, cartridges last a long time, menu options are clear and easy to use. We liked it so much we bought two as gifts and recently recommended it to our neighbor who was looking for a copier/printer combo. It IS noisy, but for someone who doesn't print that often, it's a great printer.

I use this printer primarily as a scanner. It will scan and create separate files for multiple photos. It comes with a very basic OCR software which I found useless, but freeware Top OCR and Spesoft are available online and work well with the image created by this scanner.The printer and copier also work well providing clear well defined copies and photos. However, as I said before, the ink is expensive and ink cartridges seem to dry quickly even when not in use.

My printer arrived with a broken paper feed and empty ink cartridges. The cartridges would cost more than printer to replace.
