I'm hesitant to write this review so soon, afraid i'll jinx myself. I bought this for one of my boys has has been having eczema for most of his life. He's almost 14 yo now and has a ton of allergies that the allergist doesn't see (meaning negative on skin prick tests, but we can see for sure- like cats....he's negative on the test but if he comes in contact with cat dander, his eyes get red, watery, he hives up over large portions of his body, etc. We need to rush Benadryl! Anyhow, my husband is the same way. With a recent trip out of state, food off his diet, and cat's at family members homes, we had been dealing with crazy amounts of eczema. My husband is very similar. And with spring coming, I wanted to try something different. We've been fighting this for years, but suddenly I discovered histamine intolerance. I can't believe no doctor or allergist has mentioned this to me. Well, actually yes. I can believe it. They haven't been very helpful. So, this is our first experience with any DAO supplement for histamine intolerance and so far, so good. They are not taking them regularly. Just a few here and there as they feel they need it. My husband took 3 this afternoon, and 3 this evening and was outside all day working in the yard!!!! Which is amazing! He barely had a sniffle until around time to come inside for dinner. He took a couple more pills and the symptoms got better. It's almost as if they contain antihistamine right inside. My son is noticing a positive effect as well. We have only had it for a few days now though. I'll have to update my review in a few weeks or months. Maybe after spring is over.

I have something called Mast Cell Activation Syndrome where my body treats a lot of things as an “allergy”...even though it’s not a real allergy. This syndromes makes me react to foods that have higher histamine content or foods that stop the action of the enzymes that break down histamine. Kidney glandular, such as this one, has the highest level of one of those enzymes, the DAO enzyme. It helps to keep me going...& it REALLY helps if I accidentally eat something that will make me react. But for general health, kidney issues and I’m sure other health challenges...it’s a great supplement. Code Age seems to be a good, grass-fed brand. There are no fillers, as with some brands that are cheaper...& it’s gmo free! It suits my purposes very well. (If you’re reading this review and can’t afford it, I understand...been there done that. Swanson has a good, passable kidney supplement that I’ve used in the past. I do feel this one is better... but again...if you can’t, you can’t. God bless!)

I loved this supplement, I have been an avid Crossfitter for over 9 years, and I am always looking to tweak my routine and fine tune my supplements. I love trying new things out and sending how my body responds, and I have to tell you I really like this one; high quality ingredients and I just feel great, which to me is the ultimate measure of a supplement. I definitely think this is one supplement that is well worth trying.

I’m just trying this out, so I’m not sure how it is working as of yet. My doctor said it is good quality, so I’m starting with 3 a day right now. I was taking a B supplement when I started this and had to stop due to headaches, so I think it has plenty of B. Once I stopped my B the headaches went away.

Wish I'd read other negative reviews. Bought two different brands. Brand 1 worked great for months! After using them up, I switched to CodeAge. Within days my MCAS was out of control!!! Shame on CodeAge for not delivering proper potency. Saw another's comment (after the fact) that the CodeAge capsules were very pale compared to other brands. Now I know why. Now, to get any benefit, I must take 6 capsules with every meal rather than 2. I'll use them up and switch back to the other brand. Please note: CodeAge was wonderful about replacing damaged bottle with less-than-promised number of capsules. So, Customer Service is good. But the product? A waste of money. Plus, my life is literally at stake. I have gone from mastocystosis (merely cutaneous) to very serious MCAS.

My health completely crashed when I developed a histamine intolerance and suddenly became allergic to absolutely everything in my environment...my throat was so closed up for months on end that the opening was only the size of a dime, I couldn't eat anything, I couldn't go anywhere! But this all started to turn around when I started eliminating histamine foods from my diet, taking care of gut health and starting taking THESE MIRACLE PILLS!! -I can tell they help my body produce its own DAO because if my allergic symptoms start getting bad, taking 3-6 of these pills actually TAKES AWAY the allergy symptoms (the effects of too much histamine running rampant in my body) -Even more effectively than taking a Zyrtec or Claritin!! (Which had stopped working for me!) THANK YOU CODE AGE FOR MAKING THIS AMAZING PRODUCT FOR SUCH A REASONABLE PRICE! (For not charging $60 per bottle like the competition is!) Excellent for respiratory allergies but it can be $10-15s cheaper. Only the expensive price makes it 4 stars rather than 5 stars. I've allergies to food, pollens, dust that causes or produces histamine and which give the following symptoms: - nose cognition - runny, blocked nose - mucus running down to my throat and chest This natural medicine is effective that 1 bill makes an effect in 20-30 minutes. Only one time had to take 2 bills to see an effect. Dosage: Based on my experience, it did not matter whether I take it before the food causing the allergy or after. It was very effective anyway. Also, I have switched from taking a bill with the thing causing the allergy to taking one bill for 2 months; once per day. I have realized that even when I miss it in one day, I am ok. I really thank the producer and feel very happy about it :)
