Precise, clean display works out of the box.
Good points:Well priced.Clean, precise display.Works out of the box, without additional drivers - so you can see all your vital boot messages or splash screens. It isn't vendor-locked to any specific operating system. I'm testing FreeBSD at the moment, and it works perfectly.Backlight on/off switch - though 'off' seems to disable the screen completely, not sure what that's for. Power savings while not in use, maybe?Ugly points:It's moderately easy to assemble, but the support screws require some thinking to install correctly and the little bridging boards are puzzling. I'm still not sure what the microUSB-HDMI one is for.The shape of the screen combined with a RPi 3B+ is a bit - irregular. Definitely not a cuboid. This will make it hard for the manufacturer to design a well-fitting protective case if they decide to at some point.Bad points:The seller admits there are no protective cases which fit this screen, so that you're forced to run your RPi 'naked' so to speak. I suggest a protective case would be a magnificent addition to this screen.

Perfect!
This screen is perfect because it is plug and play and you can play around on how you are going to place it. Its not very big or even small thats why it looks so good inside my pc build. I am very satisfied and I definitely recommend!

Great Little Monitor for Raspberry Pi Projects
I recently picked up this 5 inch monitor for my Raspberry Pi setup and it's been mostly a great experience. The size is perfect for my little projects where I need something compact but still functional. I love the touchscreen capability too; it's responsive enough for navigating my programs without any frustrating delays. The display quality is decent for the price. I mean it’s not going to compete with high-end monitors, but for 800x480, it gets the job done for coding and basic tasks. I’ve used it for a few different projects, and it's worked seamlessly with my Pi and even my Jetson Nano which was a nice surprise. Now, I have to mention a couple of small drawbacks. For one, the angle of view isn't the best. If you’re not looking straight on, the colors start to wash out pretty quickly. And the instructions that come with it could use a little more clarity. Setting it up took a bit of trial and error, especially figuring out how to get the touchscreen to work properly.Overall though, I’m happy with the purchase. It’s been reliable and fits perfectly in my small workspace. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly monitor for your Raspberry Pi or other mini-computer projects, this might just do the trick.

Super cool and easy to use
This little 5-inch screen from ELECROW is exactly what I needed for my Raspberry Pi projects! I was looking for a compact display with touch functionality, and this monitor is absolutely perfect. The 800x480 resolution is surprisingly crisp and clear for a screen this size. Text is readable, and images look good. It's ideal for running Raspberry Pi OS, retro gaming emulators, or any project where you need a small, integrated display.Touchscreen is responsive and accurate. Navigation is smooth and easy, making it so much more convenient to interact with my Pi without needing a separate mouse and keyboard all the time. Setting it up with my Raspberry Pi 4 was completely plug-and-play. No complicated driver installations or headaches – it just worked right out of the box!The monitor itself feels well-built and sturdy. It's lightweight but doesn't feel cheap. The viewing angles are decent, and the brightness is adjustable, which is great. For the price, this ELECROW screen is an absolute steal. If you're working on Raspberry Pi projects and want a small, reliable, and touch-enabled display, look no further. I'm thrilled with this purchase and highly recommend it!

Touchscreen Function Doesnt Work.
I used this with a Raspberry pi 3b+. Following the manufacturers instructions for installing the driver corrupted the Raspbian image and made it unusable. I then hunted round the net to find fixes. Many people have difficulty with the touchscreen calibration. I tried everything and spent HOURS trying to get this to work, but all to no avail. I cannot recommend this product - it doesn't work as described and wasted a great deal of my time.

5 inch HDMI screen
Excellent device, arrived on time.I've since used it with Raspberry Pi computers and as a temporary monitor for PCs and laptops. It doesn't auto-set the display resolution which is a bit of a pity as one sometimes have to use a different monitor for a short while to set the resolution of the computer before reverting to this small display.I haven't used the touch screen facility yet.

Alright for the price
Touch screen isn’t great, it’s a resistive one (anything can press on the screen to active it). Using your finger there’s not much accuracy with the cursor but it’s enough. To use scroll bars and smaller things you’ll either have to use your fingernails or the included pen. There does seem to be quite a lot of screen tearing but the colours are fine and the brightness is too.The one thing I don’t like, but this might be just me. The screen after going idle displays “No Signal” instead of just going to sleep or going black.

I use on PC
I use this on my Gaming PC, Powered by Old Samsung USB cable and using DVI to HDMI, This sit on my Table showing me all the Stat's I need to Monitor when gaming. Its perfect, plug and play Screen. Great Quality Picture. It completes the Gaming PC Setup. I also got it working on my Old Tablet (Micro USB to HDMI), which meant I could see what I was doing and got all my old Files off. So many uses for the Small Amazing Screen
