Sun Safari Pith Helmet/White /, White, Size No Size

Excellent Pith Helmet! This helmet is durable and has a great look. The hard shell is lightweight and breathable. The interior has an adjustable head strap to allow multiple fits and helps the hat sit in the appropriate place on the head. There is also a cushioned sweatband at the forehead for extra comfort. I used this for a stage production and it worked very well and did not look cheap like so many of the plastic helmets out there. Very happy with this purchase.

Love these for outside work, great color for Florida,

I use this for mowing the lawn and washing the car. It is made of a pressed straw so do not get it wet. I have worn this in the hottest days of the summer and it really is good for the humid hot hot days. There is a terry cloth band inside the sweat band that needs washing and replacing but not bad over all. Much cooler than my military issue boony hats. Better coverage too. Air flows between the head and the hat real nice. The hat is super light and airy but if it rains it is over with. Next time I will invest in a better one that can be dipped in water and or a better all purpose hat for the rain as well. For now, this is fine especially for the price.

I had reallly low expectations for this helmet. I expected it to be small, flimsy, and overall shoddy quality; but it pleases me to be able to say that i was wrong. The helmet is durable: its made of a fabric that has been soaked in like a resin or something to stiffen it up and make it especially ridgid. As for the size, i typically wear a 7 3/4 in fitted caps, and this helmet fit me just fine. It has an adjustable velcro strap to make bigger or smaller, depending on whatever you need. Im very happy with this purchase and i definitely recommend it if youre looking for a realistic and high quality piece.

The chin strap broke when removing the tag, rendering the hat sorta useless as it is part of "the look" as well as serving a function

It was exactly what I expected, and was as described. It will be a great addition to my hat collection. I primarily ordered it for minor league baseball season. Our temps in the Chattanooga TN area are extremely hot in late July and August and this hat is well vented, plus the white color, will reflex the sun rays beaming down on my head and neck area. It will help to reduce sun burns and possibly skin condition s that are associated will those type sun burns.

I was not pleased with the liner as it was very flimsy and unstable. Also the shell size was way too big for my head,. I have learned that helmets all have different shell sizes. Nothing is said in the description about the shell sizing. Shell size is very important as to the way the helmet looks on the head. Shell size and hat size are two completely sizing. Please be more descriptive about hat and shell sizing.

The product is great I love it as it replaced an older one that broke after many good years. Pith helmets keep you cool in the summer and they protect you from the sun as well as minor impacts like hanging brush. They also work great when boating along at 30 mph. Gotta love the chin strap. I would recommend this product it works 100% and may save you from skin cancer.
