Wonderful purchase
I bought this for my husband who struggles with ingrown toenail problems. He’s a 330 lbs size 14 wide. We purchased extra wide size 15 and it worked out perfectly for him. Comfortable day one with no break in period. He’s a street sweeper and on and off his feet. Has been durable so far and we’ve definitely seen the improvement with his feet. We purchased 2 other boots prior to this one from Cat and another from Keen. Great shoes, just were too narrow for his caveman feet. But these were perfect. Fits true to size. With thinner socks it’s definitely room but not falling off. With thicker socks he still has room to wiggle the toes and walk about comfortably. Would purchase again.

Great shoes!
Ive been wearing these to work daily for over 9 months now. This doesn’t sound like a long time but I’m a big guy and tend to beat up shoes realatively quickly. I’ve dropped numerous heavy objects on my toes and even got them stuck under a walk-behind electric pallet jack once (oops!). I’m glad to say they’ve held up to all of it and kept my toes safe at the same time. They do fit a little looser in the toe than a normal new balance sneaker but that’s because of the ample toe box. They are every bit as comfortable as a normal sneaker which is good when you’re on your feet all day. I try to never leave the house without them since I’m so accustomed to the composite toe. It’s amazing how many things you can drop on your toes in a day. They are only slightly heavier than a standard sneaker and after the first day you don’t even recognize it anymore. The lace aglets have worn off but that’s my fault for occasionally walking out to the car without tying them. Otherwise they have not yet failed like all my other shoes have. The sole is still fully attached and not worn all the way down yet (big guys wear them down quicker). Normally I wear out a pair of similar shoes in 6 months. They were well worth the money and even though I got them On sale (~65) I’d still buy them at MSRP if I had to.

Comfort is great!
One of the most comfortable work shoes I’ve ever owned, especially for a high arch.

Good shoe, narrow toe box
I normally wear regular width shoes from New Balance. This was my first time buying their safety shoes, and I found that the regular width toe box was painfully narrow. I ordered a wide size, and it's much better. It's slightly too wide in most of the shoe, but it's livable. I added some insoles with a bit of an arch , which help to keep my feet from sliding around in the shoes. I also put some felt pads over the edge of the toe box on one side where it was rubbing my toes. (I cut some strips from adhesive felt pads meant to stick under furniture.) So, it took a bit of fiddling, but I now have a comfortable pair of safety shoes.

Couldn't Walk after a Week
Update: After a week of wearing at work every day, my son says he's got blisters on his heel and his feet hurt so bad he didn't think he could walk to the car at the end of his shift this morning. Sad you have to wear a shoe to find out if it doesn't work out, but you can't return shoes once worn outside. These were expensive too. My son always wears a 10 medium in New Balance shoes, but after reading reviews, I bought an 11. He says they fit. They have more room than he's used to because he's been wearing a fitting slip-on shoe, but he just uses the top laces hole. He's excited about the strong toe because he frequently drops stuff on his foot at work in warehouse/stocking. They are very sturdy, yet lightweight and they bend at the arch easily. We got it on sale, otherwise it's too expensive unless they last longer than a year like his last shoes do. I'll update the review if anything changes.

Break-in period is brutal, but worth it
I'm going to be honest, after a few days I was ready to throw in the towel. These were the most rigid, uncomfortable shoes I've ever slid my feet into. But! After about a week, they finally broke in and lemme tell you what, I love em. Ordered them in a wide and they fit perfectly. The edge of the composite toe cap does sometimes rub against my big toe, but wearing decent socks seem to mitigate it. I'd recommend throwing the included insoles in the trash and getting anything else, they're pretty much just a thin piece of material, sort of disappointing for the price point. I've been rocking Dr. Scholl's heavy duty fat people insoles and they are a huge step up in the comfort. 4.5/5 do recommend. The shoes seems to stay pretty clean and wipe off easily. They seem pretty durable made, but only time will tell for certain.

Great shoe but the foam part it’s falling apart expected better from the brands
Comfortable still wear them even though the foam is falling apart
