These bowls are good replacements for using with older Hunter Douglas Discovery (20168) ceiling fan or any fan needing a low profile bowl with a large center hole. Our original bowls were just a bit smaller(4" high x 11.5" diameter). So there was some worry that these bowls would still be too tall even at 4.5" and leave an unacceptably small gap between it and the blades . They fit well enough leaving about an inch gap to the blade arms. For fans that don't need a low profile bowl, these will work on them as well. As for looks, they look really nice. The white frosting is attractive and diffuses the light very well. ----- I see different sizes mentioned in older posts. The item we ordered was listed as 13.5" diameter and 4.5" high.

LOVE THIS! It’s so pretty and clean looking. I originally went to Home Depot to get a replacement for our old one (just bought a house and the one it came with wasn’t clean looking), but they no longer carry any in person. So I naturally came to Amazon to see if I could order one. Truly night and day difference with the ceiling fan. Great value for the price

Very pretty, subtle sheen, feels sturdy. I bought this knowing it was a fan piece to replace a torchiere shade. The original shade was more amber, less deep, but I couldn't find a replacement that wasn't ridiculously expensive.Since I am fortunate enough to continue weekly babysitting of the energetic 2 year old who broke the first one, all breakables are at risk and I wasn't prepared to go spend more on this replacement shade than I did on the lamp. So I figured I'd take a chance. The fitter was a bit tight,maybe 1/4 inch, but my husband was able to grind off enough to make it work, nice and secure and actually,I might like the brighter light from this one more than I did the other. Arrived quickly, very well packed, in perfect condition.

This fit very well, easy to install (save your old hardware because this doesn't come with it - save yourself $10-15) and looks great! The shape and color is different than my last and I love that. The shape is prettier and the white looks so much better. I bought another for our downstairs fan that broke a long time and has a too small glass bowl 🤭

I ordered a Hunter Fan from Home Depot & when the pkg arrived the globe was broken. Hunter tried to fix the problem but the 2nd pkg also arrived with a broken globe. They had to send the entire fan because they were out of replacement globes so I started the hunt for a replacement globe elsewhere and when I saw this baby on Amazon I went ahead and ordered this Casablanca globe as it matched up to the description of my missing Hunter globe and also because the product info on Amazon said that it would be compatible with Hunter fans that have a model number that starts with the number 5. It fits perfectly and now I have my complete fan. I don't even care that I had to spend 33 bucks and change because the fan was very cheap to begin with and Hunter did try to make it right; I just wasn't patient enough to keep going through the process. Luckily Amazon packaging is more secure than the factory that produces and boxes up the Hunter fans. Success at last!
