KidKraft Wooden Farmhouse Table & 4 Chairs Set, Children's Furniture for Arts & Activity - White

We just received our table/chair set in the mail (purchased on Amazon from babyage). The delivery was prompt via Fedex. (We ordered on the 10th and it arrived on the 15th.) All the pieces were clearly labeled, very well packaged and included all hardware pieces. It was fairly easy to put together although the screws require some effort to get in all the way. We followed the advice of another reviewer and soaped the screws, which made them easier to get in. The set is very attractive and sturdy. I kept telling my husband how pretty it was as we opened the package. It is a very light, natural wood color. After assembling everything, I sat on the chairs and felt no give whatsoever. It is the perfect height for our 20 month old, but still looks like there is room for growth. The table height is good for both sitting and standing play. (He is sitting in a chair right now, playing with his trains.) Considering the price, it is a great deal for a table and four chairs. We will probably use a couple of the chairs for various other tables and uses around the house, and still have two for use with the table. The chairs are weighty enough to be difficult to tip, yet light enough to be pushed with effort by our son. We were also considering the fold up, plastic picnic tables. After reading reviews about how they had permanently bent when heavier children sat on them, I decided against it. I didn't want to have to worry about the table or chairs being used by larger kids and/or adults. Overall, I am VERY happy with this purchase. We decided on this one after much deliberation and research. It is a great deal for the price. I think it is of the same or better quality than higher priced options. We look forward to using this set for years to come!

This is very nice, well made, great size, and made of solid wood instead of composite junk. A couple of our chairs are a little wobbly but not a huge deal to us. The wood can get a little scratched/dented with the right force, but I think (?) that would happen with any solid wood piece. It looks great in our room - small enough to not take up a huge amount of space, but big enough to play on and have a couple of kids sit at it. We love it. It looks nice - not like a cheap kid's table - which was important to us. It looks like nice furniture. And the chairs are solid. We use it mostly for play, but occasionally as the "kid's table" when we have family over for a meal because we don't have enough space at the big table. It works great for that too and cleans up easily. My 5.5 yr old nephew, who is admittedly huge for his age, is a bit too big to sit in the chairs at it, so he ends up kneeling on the floor when he uses it. But I think that's a big exception. He just can't sit with his knees under it. Our 8-yr old neighbor sits at it just fine to color. In my opinion, this should last awhile, even if you have to sit at it sideways, like I (as an adult) obviously have to do.

This is a very nice set. Sturdy!!! My 5 year old is tall for his age. It fits him okay for now, but I’m sure he’ll outgrow it this year for sure. But until then, he loves it, I love it. But size wise, it would be great for ages 1-4 in my opinion. It’s on the small side. I only said about 999 bad words, and broke 4 nails putting it together. It’s easy to put together for the most part, but if you didn’t have to use the small allen wrench to put it together, it would have been so much better. That was the most aggravating part. Dropping that tiny thing over and over and having to pick it up. lol

I previously purchased 2 kidscraft toy boxes and loved them. Bought the table and chairs and they are just as nice and well constructed as the toy chests. Color matches perfectly. My grandson is 2 1/2 yrs old and when he sits on the chair his feet sit on the floor. Perfect size and height. It was extremely easy to put together. One recommendation, if you have a socket set, use that instead of the wrench to attach the legs to the table. Saves time and your knuckles. UPDATE: Chair back fell apart just like in pictures others have posted. Went to the website (KidKraft) and am able to buy the part for $5 but we shouldn't have to buy parts so soon after purchase (their website needs serious updating, not easy to navigate). It is NOT made of wood (at least not the chair backs, they are pressed wood and easily break)

This table and chairs are made of high quality solid pieces of wood. It looks great and is sturdy and solid enough that I expect it to last through 2 children who will be very hard on it. Previous reviews complained about difficult assembly but I had no trouble assembling the whole set in under an hour while watching TV. Probably could've done it in 30 minutes without distraction. I had no issues with mis-aligned screw holes, another concern of previous reviewers. There was also an insert in the package that had big bold type recommending a call to KidKraft with any and all problems with assembly, missing parts, or any other issues. This is a $100 furniture set that looks much more expensive. Well worth the money compared to other similarly priced products and arguably better than some more expensive options. Plus, includes 4 chairs, which is great when you have several kids over.

They don't want to sit at any other table. The table and chairs are wonderful. Sturdy, will very easily hold a child or perhaps even a lightweight adult. It is very rich in color, and just as described. Very happy with it. I must tell people reading the reviews though, that this set isn't as good quality as the KidKraft I bought about 15 years ago. It had legs reinforced with metal supports where it connects with the seat, so even an adult could sit on them. The table set appeared to have been made of heavier wood back then. The cost has remained the same as what I paid for it years ago.

This is lovely when the grandchildren come for the day.

I haven’t a negative thing to say about this product. It went together easily, it is solid furniture and it looks classy enough for both living room and cubby house. Price was good. Shipping to Australia worth every cent.
