They are about 1 and one sixteenth inch in diameter by about 2 and three quarter inch long . There volume capacity is of course 8 drams or 1 US fluid ounces which is about 29.6 mililiters .

Q: is there writing on the top of the cap?

There is no writing on the top.

Q: I take about 30 different size pills and I prefer to use large size only with snap caps because I am 74 will these be suitable for me ?

I prefer the larger bottles as I take 10-12 supplements a day, filling my daily pill container weekly. The large bottles will hold up to 3-4 weeks of large capsules, making it less cumbersome to use.

Q: will a quarter fit in these?

Sorry, no ... you'll need a larger diameter size.
