I have read the entire book (only those in JEE part) and this is my review.Pros :1. Completely lucid. You will not find any other book which explains organic chemistry in such a simple manner.2. Mechanisms are given for every reaction and nothing is kept unexplained.Cons (as a JEE aspirant):1. Many reactions (like Azo Dye test, Cannizaro, Beckman etc) which are present in both NCERT and JEE (M&A) are missing from the book.2. Mechanisms (like Sni , Ei) not discussed.3. No solution available to the given questions.4. You need extra to buy extra book for practice.5. Takes time to complete.Lastly, if you are practicing MS Chouhan Organic Chemistry, this book is not enough to solve 70% of the problems.(partly because there are only a few reagents that are given in this book and although you might know all the mechanisms, if you don't know about the reagent, then it will be very hard to solve)

The book is good and Explains everything in a lucid way but the problem is pages are black/White and you can't find what chapters to read! U will need an international edition pdf of this book which is coloured ! This itself makes it tough to read them :(I bought this book , after looking all the reviews..I thought that I could do everything and learn by heart not like others , But it doesn't happen ..... -JEE 2022 Aspirant

An amazing book for the one who has great passion for the subject and is badly willing to learn about its vastness and diversities. This book is worth buying and you will never feel regretful after buying it. A perfect book for organic chemistry. Helpful in all areas- teaching, interviews, research etc.Talking about AMAZON... everything is quite good but the packaging is not worth . The product do get damaged a bit when it reaches the customer. So, 4 RATING .

I loved this book......if anyone is having difficulty in organic chemistry then it will really help u and I also purchased the book on someone's advise but it is really damn usefull.....go for it

I have been using the book for about 11-12 days. The overall impression about the book is good, but I feel certain topics are discussed more in detail than the other topics. Like I couldn't find cannizarro or the benzoin reaction in their intended positions.Amazon has slowly but surely detoriated. The speed of delivery is praiseworthy, but the packaging needs a lot of improvement if they want to retain their customer base. Thus 4 stars. Actually I intended to give it a 3.5stars. which is not possible.

If you are starting from scratch for Organic Chemistry then this book is a boon for you! I had a phobia of Organic Chemistry and it use to feel quite boring and dry to me but after using this book, I'm in love with OChem!Very simple, well-explained and concise theory is present in the book with questions after each concepts to make you adept and understand the concepts. Mastering Chemistry part is also extremely helpful.It can be used as a main conept book for JEE Organic Chemistry. You'll just need to stick to the JEE or NCERT syllabus as this book is intended for University Grade. IITK even follows this book, so yeah if you get selected the book will still be useful. Or if you want you can unravel the realm of Organic Chemistry and master it!

Lots of exercise problem and very easy language. Don't see those bad reviews .This is a very nice book.Black and white but that hardly matters as colour reproduction is well.

I took the organic chemistry sequence at two different colleges due to transferring in the middle. This was the book the second college uses. It's way less thorough in content, and I often found myself going to the textbook from my previous college in order to comprehend the concepts at a deep enough level. If you're just trying to get through ochem and you never really need to touch the material again later, or if you're retaking it for review, then this textbook might be okay. But if you're taking it for serious future use and your teacher uses this book, you will not be getting the in-depth course you are looking for.
