Good balance, grip and razor sharp!
Razor sharp out of the box I quite like this pairing knife. Slightly longer than I would expect for a paring knife it has a really nice transition between the blade and the handle with the bolster working really well with a pinch grip on the knife. The spine has a nice rounded edge to it and the knife is a good thickness with enough space under the heel to be able to get your fingers under and still cut down onto a board. The handle looks like it has been sandblasted before it was charred with a very exposed grain pattern and the Damascus pattern looks like it should be genuine although its almost impossible to tell without sanding it down and re etching it in acid. Very comfortable to hold and work with with a good balance and the versatility of being able to cut onto a board or use it for hand pairing, it has held an edge well for a couple of days without any honing.

Well presented, good balance. Vicious looking thing and wickedly sharp
This chef’s knife is positively wicked looking, with the highly shaped handle and blade with an upwards curve at the tip. It came very well presented in a smart looking box, with documentation. The handle has grooved patterning in it which I think looks a bit artificial and the blade has a darkened section. On arrival this is extremely sharp indeed. I tested it cutting through chicken breasts. It just glides through, requiring absolutely minimal effort from the user. It feels pleasant to hold and seems well balanced and to have a good weight for a chef's knife. The blade is incredibly sharp right to the tip - as my finger discovered to its cost when I just touched it with the end. I wouldn't have paid the £99.99 asking price for this. It's too close to the price of a Global knife for an unknown Chinese brand and the wooden handle may not have the same durability as metal ones. I don't really like the curved tip blade design either - it makes me uncomfortable with how stabby it looks. Especially after I caught myself with it and went through three plasters before it would stop bleeding.

Insanely sharp.
Nicely weighted Knife, very sharp and of a good quality, it is of a quality and build that I feel it will be able to be sharpened for years to come. It is very pricey at £99 at the time of receiving, but it is of a high quality, well presented and comfy in the hand when using.

Best knife ever!
I rarely give 5 stars for anything - only if an item is exceptional and this one is. I have never used a knife like it! I'm not a professional at all, just a normal home cook . When I first tried it, I had to adjust the way I was cutting things - I used far too much pressure and a sawing action because I'm used to cheaper, less sharp knives. This one needs such a gentle pressure as it's so sharp, it cuts like a hot knife through butter. It cuts much more finely with ease. My partner is a butchers son so is used to handling this quality of knife and knows how to sharpen it properly - I think he said a 15 degree angle but I have no idea what that means so I'll leave that to him. A beautiful knife - very comfortable to hold for long periods and a dream to use.

Fancy and a great gift idea.
It's quite a fancy knife. It comes in an extremely well made and designed box that would make it a very appreciated gift idea. The blade on the chef's knife is a bit of a different shape to what I'd expect. It appears shorter and deeper with the decorative handle being a little smaller in comparison. But, nothing negative to say. It comes sharp, yet possible to improve on that with a whet stone. If you want something a bit different and fancy, yet still does the job intended then this is a good choice. If you want to buy a nice kitchen knife as a gift then this would be greatly appreciated by all but the professional chefs.

Review update: I had issues with the knife I received not being up to the quality standards of the cost. But Xinzuo customer service were very helpful in solving my issues. I still have issue with the knife being so heavily weighted on the blade, which doesn't work well for a standard chef knife. But most of my issues were rectified by a very helpful customer service.

Very cool product. Doesn't seem like it's full tang, the handle side of the knife is pretty light. Not how I'm used to balancing my knives. But it feels ok. Hopefully will be sturdy in the long run.

Je l'adore ne pas oublier de protéger le bois avec de huile minérale pour le protéger de l'humidité.

I bought two of these knives it won't let me write a review for the 8-in chef knife. I'll start with that. I really like the chef's knife, it is very sharp and attractive. It's very blade heavy but with a pinch grip it just feels really nice in your hand. The geometry is a bit extreme for practical use but it looks really cool on my magnet display. I take back a point because it's just decent and it does not have a Full Tang handle. I'm not sure how well it will hold up. I wouldn't use this as my primary only knife. I also purchased the Kiritsuke which I will give three stars. The reason why is because while I like the geometry and the looks, it is not as sharp and it just feels bad in your hand. However I'm going to keep it because it's a gorgeous knife but I can bring it out on special occasions to cut things like brisket because of its relatively mild curve. It also looks great magnet display. If I were to get a knife as a daily use knife I would not get either one of these. You get something like an entry level Shun for the same price that would run circles around either one of these as a performer. I also love the Shan Zu Gyo chef knife, which is amazing! But I like these knives because of the looks and sharpness, especially the chef's knife.
