The stick is perfectly functional, although the dialog box is so small on my laptop that I need a magnifying glass to read it. If you own an older IronKey stick, there is no comparison. The predecessor was built like a piece of military hardware. Solid! This one is light and flimsy. The whole idea behind the IronKey was to protect the data. I'm sure the encryption still works, but the physical stick is a piece of crap compared to the old ones. Great work, Kingston. You still do what you have always done so well - make inferior products!

Do not buy this crappy item. I owned the old model one that is made of steel or something, And that thing work great. Sadly, it is not compatible with new Mac mini 4. So I had to upgrade to this piece of crap. It work fine for about a month or so. Today, about 1 1/2 week out of the return window, this usb drive suddenly wipe all my data without any warning. It just glitch and force me out. Upon trying to log back in, I notice that the drive has reset back to like when it was new. Forcing me to set everything up again. Sadly, once I was back in, I found that all my files is deleted. Luckily I still have my old drive. So that mean just hundred of hours to redo what was deleted instead of thousands of hours. Beware! Stay away from this device.

The usb doesn't look like any I have in my computer, it's smaller than I was expecting. My computer says I have USB 3.2, but I can't figure this thing out. I tried plugging it into one of my usb slots but it says the item requires more power. I've been trying to research what I've got vs what this is & watch videos to figure out how to tell where to plug it in to my laptop but I give up. I didn't realize there are different usb sizes (apparently), and only discovered it after opening the package. Now that it's open, I don't see a way to return it. It's not worth getting a tech guy out to teach me about all this stuff. Too much hassle. Make sure you're up on your USB details & know whether it'll work with your machine before buying this.

Got this to secure some files. Plugged it in and tried to go through the set-up. After creating a password, it just stops functioning. Instructions are terrible Waste of $90
