This is a really cool set of magnetic tiles that we ordered to add on to the ones we already had. The various shapes and unique windows/doors really caught the attention of our oldest child. She immediately started building a house with an attached deck. This came with one train cart piece and my second pictures shows the one con of this kit. The pieces are generally interchangeable with other brands and connect fine. But the train pieces are a different size. The cart from this kit is yellow and the red is from another set. The Picasso tile kit connection is higher than other brands, so the wheels of the next connection do not touch the floor. Can the kids still play with it? Definitely. Will it impact function if you are trying to bill something elaborate or tall on the carts and then pull them? Yes. I wouldn't say this is a make or break it weakness, but the kids noticed immediately that it was different. The other side note is that this came with a storage bag (third picture). This went immediately into the garbage. The thought is nice, but the material is flimsy and will not hold up a week with the weight of the product and reasonable child use.

My 7 yr old loves magnetic tiles and these were no exception. I love that they are different and have doors on the frames and different internal designs that she can play with. The addition of other shapes is great. She said she would take a star off because the shutters/doors inside the window frames kept popping off depending on how she was trying to remove them. They also only open in one direction so she said she was worried about little kid fingers getting stuck and making them cry. She immediately went to playing with them and has been playing with them as soon as she gets a chance. It is always nice to find activities away from screen time. The are very well built and feel of great quality. I think the price point is amazing for what you get. Note that the magnetic frames are counted as pieces.

If you have a kid that really loves cars this particular set may be the one for you. My 3-year-old loves anything car related, and always has a car in his hand. Even in his sleep. He was so excited to build different types of cars with a set. Since this is a name brand, this would also make a wonderful gift idea. The only negative that my kids mentioned is that they wish it came with more magnets. They had a lot of creative ideas but unfortunately they didn't have enough magnets to complete them.
