This is my third set and they look good and go very well. However, they do wear off after over 5 years. The newer model includes a spare trim piece that goes between the 2 clam shells. It can easily brake when replacing the batteries and inspire part is very welcome.

I drop everything. this protective case is tough and has withstood all my mistakes. The hardware seems durable but carabiners fail a lot so time will tell. Its easy to use.

Honestly, you pay a low price for low quality. I had an issue where the keyring part of my fob kept coming loose from the fob itself, and this product prevents that by encasing the whole fob, which is the only reason I gave this two stars and not one. It does keep my fob in one piece and protects it. That is pretty much it on the good parts. I WOULD tell you to beware not to fully close this case around your key fob, because this product has no way to open back up after it is closed except to beat it up until a crack appears, then wedge a knife in the crack. I WOULD tell you to not close it all the way and leave a crack, except for the fact that I tried for hours and didn't really come close to closing it fully. It always stayed open at one of the connections, even when I took pliers to it to try and force it closed. This case is not really suited for my 2017 ford f-150 five button key fob despite saying that it is. The keyring thing that comes with it fails at the bar that is supposed to hold the key fob. When you screw the bar in "all the way", it would only take a quick glance to see the threaded end still has a bit to go before it meets the outside edge, leaving a screw head sticking out one side, and a small hole on the other. It also kept coming undone, probably due to the poor threading. Thankfully I keep my keys in my pocket and never lost my fob as a result. The solution to this is putting super glue in the hole, then quicky threading the bar. The mini flat head screwdriver that comes with this was a nice thought, but bad in practice. It's not as thick as the slot in the screw head, leading to slipping on something that is small and somewhat precarious, as you must line up the holes while preventing the key fob from moving the bar after the holes are aligned, then you must actually take hands off of this delicate operation to reach for the poorly fitted mini flat head, which slides and ruins the operation. My fingernail actually fit much better into the slot and didn't require me to remove a whole hand from this Overall, these pieces ( the key fob case and keyring bit) look nice, but were poorly executed. Again, the only reason it has two stars is that the case solved an issue I had with my key fob. Otherwise it deserves one star
