Soulder model.
Great quailty, I had returned another companies and ourchased this one. This is made here in the USA and you get reading material to go along with to study.

Helps me explain shoulder movement in the clinic
Shows how the supraspinatus tendon gets pinched

Incorrect product photo: Ligaments glued, not screwed on
The good: has detailed bone structure, and the translucent ligaments (as shown in the photo) allow view of underlying bone surfaces. In these two regards I prefer it to the basic 3B Scientific model which I also purchased. The bad: However, UNLIKE in the product photo, the ligaments are NOT removable. There are no screws as shown in the photo attaching the ligaments to the bone. Instead, they are glued on. The fact that this model supposedly had removable ligaments was the reason I ordered it. It's a feature I absolutely need, to show anything close to the full range of motion of the joint. The glued-on ligaments restrict motion to less than 10% of actual joint motion.Lastly, while I assume this is a cast from an actual skeleton, the model has an unusually large gap between the head of the humerus and the acromion process (see photo, the model reviewed here is on the left), making it harder to demonstrate how and why the most common shoulder injury (namely to the supraspinatous tendon) happens.

Great model, shipping was a little rough
Looks good. My only issue is that some of the ligaments had small tears or had popped off. (The coracoclavicular ligament detached itself from the clavicle.) Probably happened in shipping or handling because the box around it looked a little smushed.

Poor design
I have used this anatomical model to help explain diagnosis. I have found the model clumsy to handle falling apart as I discuss there issues. I would not recommend this model. I would suggest placing another rod on the hip to keep model in place

Perfect for teaching
Bought this to help patients understand the joint

Well made, nice size for study,
I liked that the ligaments are not fixed but move a bit. It's very helpful that it comes off the stand.I didn't like that the picture included naming the parts is backwards. (The view in the picture is the reverse of what you see when you look @ the model.)

Anatomical orientation incorrect
For those of you who want the model as a teaching tool, it is not correct. the scapula on this model is rotated posteriorly so the acromion process and clavicle are oriented too high. The representation of the coraco-acromial ligament is too long and lies superior to the glenohumeral joint as an arch with no protection from adverse motion between the 2 bones. I thought it would be OK as a quick and dirty model for my patients but as l am writing this I realize it's not going to work for me. I hope it's just my model that is flawed and others are more anatomically correct.
