Does not operate correctly!!
Horrible..you plug it in to the cigarette lighter and it flops down.. it doesn’t stay in the port. After a week I threw it out! It kept falling. It fell between my feet.. dangerous... pissed me right off.. all the packing was thrown out or I would have returned it!

Great product - best alternative for mounting your cell phone!
I bought this to try out in my work vehicle. I wanted something besides a window mount (which are illegal in the center of the window and block the view) or a vent clip (which will blow hot and cold air on your phone). In my work vehicles, where the cigarette/AC ports are horizontal, the cell phone holder will swivel (fall over) but I think that has more to do with the socket in the vehicle which spins. I did get creative by pulling out the ashtray and resting the gooseneck on it so it didn't fall over and used a rubber band to secure it. See the photos. I was able to use it exactly the way I needed now. The gooseneck stays where you put it and even on bumpy roads it doesn't shake around at all. The attached short charging cord is great. It keeps everything looking tidy. Sometimes you just have to make things work and I don't even see it when the phone is in the holder. I like how the holder itself has a quick release button that adjusts the opening. It's very quiet and the mechanism runs smooth. Not like others that are clanky and feel like they will break when you try to adjust it. in my personal car, Hyandai Elantra, the cigarette/AC ports are more vertical and the cell phone holder held nice and tight in the socket. I was able to adjust the position of the phone exactly where I needed it for best viewability. And you can charge other devices at the same time.

Don't use in a horizontal plug
It won't stay in a horizontal plug; the phone's weight pulls it out; However, if you just use the mount (no phone), it rotates around as gravity pulls it and then falls out.

A great mount, especially for iPhone
First of all, this is simply a great deal. I was looking for a phone mount that attached to a lighter socket (rather than suction cup or CD slot etc). Having this one come with lightning cable already installed was a nice bonus.People often warn against these mounts because of their inherent tendency to twist within the round power socket. It's a valid concern and one that probably factors more when installed vertically. On my Acura however, the socket is more or less diagonal - neither vertical or horizontal. As with many Hondas, it's tucked just behind the gear selector.Plus, the mount itself - the part that goes into the power socket - comes with a rubber friction ring that helps hold things still. Barring the other variable of having a really bulky phone, this mount stays nicely put. In fact, probably the weakest spot in terms of movement is not where the mount fits into the power socket but where the cradle attaches to the gooseneck. It can be tightened but it's meant to pivot and tends to pivot too easily in my opinion. Having some extra friction in that ball assembly would be ideal.I like how the little "ledge" at the bottom of the cradle can fold up, making room for attaching an AUX cable to the phone. At first, I assumed I'd use the ledge to hold the phone secure but the foam pads on the side clamps are more than sufficient to hold it tight.

Love this product!
I've used magnet phone holders, pop socket attachments, you name it but this phone holder does the beat job. I love that it doesn't require attaching anything to your phone. The phone test is adjustable so it fits most size phones. I love that it comes with its own charging cord as well, which saves a charging port. However that isn't even a concern as this comes with two USB charging ports of it's own. The "goose neck" has multiple points of angling, so it is extremely flexible and can contort to whatever angle you need it to. It stays fixed in place even when the car turns, stops, or goes over bumps.

I really like this but...
I really like this holder but will have to give it to family who could use it. Here's my issue. This is what I wanted and got. Nothing wrong with it however, I really love my phone case which is too thick for the holder because of the ring in the back. The phone is barely in the holder. My phone barely fits in compared to the model on the box. It would fit perfectly if I remove the phone case, but what a hassled, so no. I will try a different alternative holder from same company.

Need longer "Adjustable" goose neck
The goose neck was not long enough because I still have to look down-ward to look at my gps..(I am a Female Uber driver) and part of the reason why I prefer lighter phone holder is because it will not block my view if the holder was on my dash. Either way... It was a bit too low. It was the same as if I had my phone on my lap. Maybe, if the goose neck was adjustable according to the variables of "installment of cig plug" or the height of the driver's preference. I am short but dang, the neck of this is a bit low. Also, I have an Android phone so the built in Iphone plug was a nuisance for me. I will have mulitple wires from usb port to charge my Android phone whilst I have this useless mini iPhone cord strapped to my goose neck. Other than that..at least the base isn't spinning and is secure and blue charging light stays lit :)

Better Luck Next Time
I was hoping this would work with my iPhone 7 however, it is not to be. I need a handsfree device to hold my phone especially since TN just passed the handsfree law. My 2001 Lexus RX300 is old but reliable and doesn't have the technology to enable hands-free use. Although the device, in general, is good, I do like the charging ports, but the flex arm is just not sturdy enough. The device arm cannot support the weight of my iPhone in its protective case and I am not about to take it out of the case just to be able to use it when I am in the car, just too much hassle.
