Walt Disney's Donald Duck "The Pixilated Parrot": The Complete Carl Barks Disney Library Vol. 9

I'm reliving my childhood memories thanks to fantagraphics awesome Carl Barks compilation. Cant wait to collect each of the 30 volumes that will be released by fantagraphics.

Excellent book, great for collecting and reading.

If you love the Duck family these are just essential. I can't beliece i just herd about these 2 series, from Carl and Don. Fortunetly they were all still in stock. Buy them!

As a child I loved reading the Donald Duck and Uncle $crooge stories as drawn by the immortal Carl Barks and so it is a wonderful thing that Fantagraphics is bringing them back in book form. While some of the stories are new to me, I remember many of them almost verbatim from childhood. I must have reread them many times! Scrooge McDuck and his money bin are iconic symbols from my past. I have been reading the stories aloud to our grandsons. I love to hear them laugh and comment at some of the outrageous antics of Donald, Uncle Scrooge, and the nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie!If you read the original stories as a child (and you will have to be pretty old to have done so!) you will want all of these books. Likewise if you are a connoisseur of vintage comic art. If you want a good introduction to just how good comics can be, give them a try. I rank Barks up there with Charles M. Shulz, Frank Watterson, Walt Kelly, and Al Capp (among others) for the quality of the comic art and story content. That's pretty good company.
