CORALINE [Paperback] Neil Gaiman

I don't dislike anything but I do love the cat and its mysteries and I would be delighted to read a book about the cat and his travels. I have to say I would recommend this book to all my friends I really enjoyed it and that is why I am rating it 5/5

A nice little story with a meaningful message for any one young or not so young. Any person who may have doubts about themselves.

A brilliant classic book, all my kids have loved it.

Charming. Engaging. Chilling too. And it's a story for kiddies? Really? Neil Gaiman is good when it comes to economy of words. Every word has its place. No extras. No wasting. If a group of authors were given the ingredients: an adventurous young girl, parents, a new house, a brick wall, a hallway, now write a scary story...I wonder how many would be able to pull off a story of this calibre?

Coraline is so simple to read and would really be a great read for children. It is easy to understand and is also entertaining for adults.

Amazing book! Highly recommended. I read it all in one day. You can’t stop reading it, you are stuck with the story.

Good for 11 to 12y/o kids . I actually enjoyed it as 12y/o .

With Halloween around the corner I thought it was time for a spooky read so I settled on Coraline - a book I should have read at least 10yrs ago . Well nevertheless here we are , reviewing a children’s novel that felt soo matured and eye opening for adults themselves. ! Don’t believe me…?? Here are quotes that I read , re-read, pondered over and loved !! “ Because,' she said, 'when you're scared but you still do it anyway, that's brave “ “It is astonishing just how much of what we are can be tied to the beds we wake up in in the morning, and it is astonishing how fragile that can be.” Coraline who loves to explore things gets stuck indoors on one rainy day only to discover another house with another set of parents in another world right behind a locked door at her new home ! Who are they and what are their intentions? Will life be the same anymore for the brave courageous and kind hearted Coraline? I loved finding answers to these and I bet you will too.. I went in knowing nothing and really enjoyed it ! This book is quite short and can be read in one sitting but whether you will read it only once in your life is something I doubt cos I definitely see myself re-reading this soon Even though this was a middle grade kind of fantasy I loved the beautiful story and lovely little Coraline herself ! I plan on watching the movie adaption over the weekend.
