Has anyone checked with their vet to see what they think about the product?

Yes, I took a picture of the back of the bag and showed it to our vet during our first main checkup with the 12 year old rescue dog we just adopted. He said "Love seeing those! All good stuff for her arthritis and malnutrition issues!" Hence me restocking today when we're down to 15 or so from our 90 count bag.

Why doesnt it include chondroitin? Isnt it important ?

It appears the ‘advanced’ option has it. As of May 2023, I was not able to find in any recent research, human or dog, nor on the Arthritis Foundation website, what greenpeepers or Dave B claim about absorption. In fact, just the opposite. It appears taking Glucosamine Sulfate WITH Chondroitin has more perceived benefits. Of course there are studies that say neither work or actually made things worse…. That being said, how dogs and humans metabolize the same things can be quite different (chocolate, grapes/raisins, for example). It does appear that Glucosamine Sulfate is the preferred form and that the HCL form is not as well absorbed. I can say my Dutch Shepherd did much better with MSM in the mix than just G&C alone. Green Lipped Mussel made him nauseas, I assume, with decreased appetite and vomit. (GLM upsets my stomach, too.) Definitely do your own research; treatment recommendations change and can be different for individual needs. What works for one may or may not for another. Supplements/vitamins aren’t regulated like medicines are either so one brand may work differently than another. I was able to give my dog less product/milligrams and resolve the hip clicking just by trying different brands.

Is this for larger dogs? My dog is about 30 pounds I have been buying the packs of 45 count but it cost a lot more

My dog is 10 and she takes 1 every other day and I’m on my 3rd bag of 90 chews. The first 3 weeks I gave her 2 everyday because that’s what I was told to do. They are made for small and large dogs and I definitely see a huge difference in my babies hips. She’s getting around so so much better!!! Vet approved!!! Patent approved, dog approved!!! Your baby will thank you!
